Font formatting from older MOGRTs broken in 2019 Premiere (Ex: All caps TT)
If a user created MOGRTS that were made with font formating (all caps, all caps with smaller cap lower case, faux bold & italic), and in some situations the font family all default when bringing 2018 MOGRT files into 2019 timeline. So for example:
WHEN I SELECTED "TT" FOR ALL CAPS IN MAKING MY 2018 MOGRT TEMPLATE...
If when I made the template I typed in lower case and chose "TT" to cap all, in my Premiere 2019 project using the MOGRT it displays like this instead...
When I selected "TT" for all caps in making my template...
Also in some cases the font will change to system default (Arial) for some reason.
So in researching this some with trial and error, what I think is causing the problem is now in AE 2019 Essential Graphics we can turn on "Edit Properties" which is now where the Faux styles and font families, etc. are. Rather than Premiere 2019 saying "Oh, this MOGRT was made before those editable features existed, let me turn them all on by default for flexibility and to hold data." It instead says, "Oh, this MOGRT was made before this existed, let me default to off to upset the user and make this template obsolete."
If we can get this fixed to default as if it was on for 2018 and older MOGRTs it would save a LOT of editing of old MOGRTs. This is a great feature and we use it daily in our workflow.
Thanks!
