TO EVERYONE EXPERIENCING CRASHING ISSUES -
CPU, GPU, and RAM are not the only factors to consider. Search my name on here and you'll find that I bitched about it too, then I studied. Bigger power supply and better cooling. Viola!!! Runs smooth as silk and can fully edit and export 4k videos that are 90 minutes long with tons of audio processing, full color correction and grading, graphics, and hundreds of clips with audio transitions between every last one of them (GoPro footage pops without Constant Rate) and at least a dozen video transitions. This is all on an ASUS B450-Plus Tuf MB, Ryzen 7 2700x, and a 1650 GPU on a Win10 system. Power supply was only 500w though, and only a couple of case fans cooling it. I did the math and got the correct power supply, and added some fans. PR 2019 and 2020 work perfect. Could never export anything longer than 18 seconds before.
Anyway, I never saw anyone follow up and I've now been running this fix for about 8 months without issue. Memory and clock speed are nothing without the power to run them and ventilation to keep the components cool. Good luck.

I’m using Premier pro 2019 still and never had issues with it crashing till the past week. I’m running a RTX 2080 with an Intel I9k and 64gb of ram so I’ve got plenty of power but it will crash randomly when I try to import or when it’s analyzing a clip for the warp stabilizer. Any suggestions?

Fix this please! Such a pain. Have lost hours worth of editing, might as well just get rid of the auto save all together if it doesn’t work..

Man, over the last 4 weeks premiere has turned into a nightmare for my production company. Our machines are MORE than capable of running the program (8 core i9 4Mhz Processors, 64gigs RAM, 4TB SSD Drives) with multiple tracks of motion graphics / fx and it still randomly crashes on us. I'm losing work over and over again and the auto save isn't restoring my prior edits. Please fix this! - Silent Stream Media

I dont even know what to say. Adobe Premiere was great like 2 months ago, even after downgrading im still coming into the same problems of freezing after not even two minutes of playback. I even bought more RAM thinking that was the problem, even though ive got a ryzen 2700X CPU, a 2080 GPU, and NOW 32 GB of RAM.

I agree this is ridiculous, and a black eye for Adobe. But, I hope you all know that Adobe isn't likely to revisit 2019. They've moved on to the next buggy release of 2020 that will continue their record of disappointing the customers who made them the company they are today. I've found 2020 to have bugs I can't tolerate, so I'm on 2019 until the bugs in 2020 are fixed, which will probably be just before 2021 is released.
That said, I've been working on 2019 (on a new Mac Pro) almost daily, all day long for about three weeks now, and the only crash (singular) I've had so far is because of a third-party plug-in.
I suggest you post on to the Adobe and maybe even the Creative Cow or other forum with a detailed description of your system and footage, and see if the pros there can help you figure out why. This part of the site seems to be only aimed at complaints, not solutions. Best of luck.

I've been having similar issues. I can edit a project for 5-10 mins and then the screen flashes black. When the program comes back up, I have no video playback and cannot make any changes. Adobe, this is people's JOBS. Their LIVELIHOOD. Fix it. This is absolutely ridiculous.
