better and usable alpha and luma track matting
The Track Matte effect now scales with the layers that are being matted. That's rarely what's desired. At least put a checkbox on the Track Matte effect that disables this undesirable (in most cases) behavior.

This! When your video layer is not exactly the same resolution as your sequence and you apply a track matte for example to a black square, the square scales to your video setting layer. Who comes up with this XD ???

there is a redundant request here: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/35708812-fix-the-track-matte-effect-with-a-motion-settings which perhaps should be merged.

"Now?" You mean, it didn't used to work this way? Did they change it without also keeping an option for the old functionality?
Yeah, this is definitely important. It's a real pain to do a simple split-screen effect. You have to use a nested sequence.
This is item #510 in my spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dVJb7kI_ZETLavrplfARgn9gL8HUpvkq6A0jCPxqA3w/edit#gid=1133868629

Agreed! It works properly in AE. It's high time the Premiere team get this to work properly in PP!
From my experience, the current behaviour is NEVER what's desired!
I so wish Adobe had fixed this rather than waste time redesigning the new v13.0 home screen which won't help anyone's editing workflow!
