Remove the feature that causes PP to forget render files.Annoying to render and within minutes see the red bars return right before my eyes.
I render and export and shut down. Come back tomorrow to edit again and everything is a red bar. The render files are still on my hard drive. I even have multiple identical render files from having to rerender the same stuff again and again. Furthermore, the red bars have started coming back while I'm still using the program. For example just now, I rendered an hour long video. I tried to export but the export failed because I accidentally sent it to the wrong drive (which was full). Then I notice portions of my timeline had red bars. Not everywhere, just a few places. For example, where there were text overlays. Red bars which were green minutes earlier. I have 2 versions of the edit on different sequences. Both were green bars. Now, there are red bars in identical places (where both had the same thing going on) on both sequences. It happened this time with an export in between rendering and red bars, but it happens other times, too. One time I clicked to Notepad to read notes for the edit and when I came back to PP, there were now red bars. This feature is annoying. Why did you decide that PP needed to do it? How come big Hollywood feature films are being edited with PP if render files are constantly being forgotten?

I tried to reply to the email I got from your reply but it failed. So, here's the non-public summary: Just text tool. On App resume and on reboot of application. Latest PP CC. OSX 10.13.6. Gopro cineform clips. ProRes renders. Exclusively local.

Hi g,
sorry you are having this trouble. I would like to help get to the bottom of this.
When you say text overlays, do you mean graphics that you created in Premiere Pro using the type tool? Please elaborate on that.
It seems that this bug is occurring on app resume (example: you switch to notepad and back). But to be sure, please provide a little bit more info.a) what kind of clips or effects are turning red? Prgraphics? Aegraphics? Something else?
b) when are you losing render files? On App resume? On reboot of application?
c) technicals specs, so I know how to repro: what Premiere version, which OS, what media types are involved
d) does this also happen when you are working exclusively local?
