Active Folders
It would be great to see an "Active Folders" option which allows Premiere Pro to automatically update imported folders within a project.
If, during import, an entire folder is imported as a whole into a project, it should allow the user to toggle on/off "Active Mode" - in "Active Mode", the bin within the Premiere project will constantly monitor and refresh the contents of the bin to match what is contained in the corresponding folder on the hard drive.
As an example, a user might have a "Stock music" folder on their hard drive which they import into their project. Midway through the project, they might decide to source some more music which gets added to the "Stock music" folder on their hard drive. They might also decide to add sub-folders in that folder, for example, "Instrumental" and "Lyrics". By switching on "Active Mode" in Premiere Pro, the bin within the folder would automatically be refreshed to reflect new contents and layout of the linked folder. This would prevent the user from having to locate and import only the new files into the project.
The feature should also allow manual linking and re-linking of project bins to different folders. For example, For editors who use project templates with pre-named bins, they could simply choose their pre-named "Music" bin each time they open a template, and tell it which folder on the hard drive to actively link to.
