Better support for files with closed captions
Closed captions in mxf files generated from other systems do not import into Premiere. No caption stream is present on import although captions show up in other applications. Sorry, I misspoke, I meant to say timeline track, not timecode. In order for Premiere to see this file you need to enable the ANC track. It is a GUI option in the Grass Valley ITX. Thanks.

I am getting a timecode track with the file on my import, just no captioning track. Here is a screenshot:

There is no valid readable timecode track on the file and no caption info can be read. We are investigating more. Thanks again.

The mxf file was generated from Grass Valley ITX. If you need more info we can reach out to our support tech at Grass Valley for any additional information if you need something more specific. Thanks for looking into this.

Hello, thanks for the file and info. This file is crashing Mac Caption, but Switch will parse it. Can you tell me more how this was made/where it came from? I am filing a bug. This is the best way to get help, by the way. (Sending a file, that is!)
Thanks,
Nate
