Bug fix / Feature change Request: Please add availability of File Format window to the Embed in output file dialog box.
Problem in short: .MCC will not embed both 608 and 708 properly unless .MCC is selected in the Create Sidecar File Menu first. The issue creates a scenario where you are expecting 608 and 708 caption files to be embedded in the output file, but when happens instead is only the 608 Captions are embedded.
Problem longer description: I discovered that .mcc caption files, containing 608/708 captions, do not properly Embed in output file (under Captions/Export Options) when exporting. Instead they only embed .scc or the 608 information. The only way I have found to remedy this and have both 608 and 708 information appear in the exported file is to change the File Format to .MCC under Captions/File Format, BUT this can only happen if the Export Options pull down menu is set to Create Sidecar File. In other words, the only way to select to Embed .mcc captions is to change the export option menu temporarily to "Create Sidecar” and change the file format to .mcc, then change the Export options menu back to Embed in Output file. At this point in the dialog box the File Format option is greyed out and cannot be changed.

Hello,
This sounds like you are attempting to embed to a format that doesn't support 708 captions (QuickTime, for example). This is currently by design, sidecars are the only supported workflow for 708 or 608 with 708 captions.
