Jack did you try to update Blackmagic RAW PrPro plugin to the latest version ? Recent versions might improve on that. I remember we also improved this behavior on BRAW Studio

Experiencing an issue that I am sure is a BRAW related issue. Render a timeline, all green then save and close PPro and on reopening the timeline is red and yellow again. The render files still exist in their render folder but the connection is lost. I am using the latest version of the BM BRAW plugin - Blackmagic RAW 2.3 Someone please help!

BRAW Studio Importer for PrPro, AME and AEfx now has a FREE version to allow you to import and color grade Blackmagic RAW footage without paying anything ! More info here https://www.autokroma.com/blog/BRAW-Studio-Is-Now-FREE
And as a bonus you will avoid all the bugs from the BMD plugin if you choose BRAW Studio instead, more info here https://www.autokroma.com/blog/BlackmagicRaw-Plugin-BRAW-Studio-Difference/ -

Another major release... and still nothing
What a sad state of affairs the Premiere Pro product team is!
No longer on the cutting edge of supporting the latest and greatest camera formats natively.
"Premiere Pro lets you edit all kinds of footage, whether from a professional camera or from your phone — up to 8K. And work the way you want with native file support, lightweight workflows and faster rendering."
That quote is from the product marketing page on the Adobe website, I would say it's very misleading with no native support for BRAW after 3 years.

Ryder which problem are you talking about ?
-
Ryder Ansell commented
We had this problem and it was driving us crazy...Did all the suggested deleting of cache files, reinstalling etc etc etc. Sometimes it would work. Other times we'd be stuck not able to work, losing half days/days way too often.
So one day I decided to try something...I created a brand new project in premiere with nothing inside of it. Then I opened up the project that was giving me trouble. And it worked. And then it worked again and again. So we just keep a blank project on the server called "Tiny Project" (name it whatever you'd like :)...And we always open that first. I'm not sure WHY it works but I'm sure there's some explanation with how Premiere launches and recalls files blah blah. But it works. And I got on this board to tell you bc I know your pain.

It seems that Adobe has still not heard its users ...
2 years and still no possibility to use the BRAW in a native and powerful way!
Are we to believe that you don't need us to live?

And it’s been almost 2 years since Adobe’s Patrick Palmer said they were looking into BRAW support. Wonder if Patrick is even involved or with Adobe anymore.

Oct 2020. At this late date it’s been made very clear Adobe will not “natively support” the BRAW codec as advertised.
Adobe has added support for many newer camera codecs such as the recent ProResRaw while bypassing BRAW. They rightly see Blackmagic as a formidable competitor with Resolve. -

Still no update on this!? It's been over a year since Patrick said he will post more info about the next steps shortly. Shows that Adobe really doesn't care about providing native support for BRAW

Beware everyone, the Blackmagic Premiere Pro plugin is still buggy even in the latest version 1.8.1, for example the Exposure Slider doesn't have any effect ! https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=110290

It’s been 2 years since the format was released now. On my latest project I have had to bin off premiere pro and move the whole thing into resolve. I pay for this software, I don’t for davinci, even avid media composer first (the free one) provides better support. Is anyone at adobe even bothering to develop native support? I don’t want to buy a plug-in.

I don't know if it's Autokromas plan, but the best solution for us users would be if Adobe bought or licensed the BRAW Studio and incorporated it into the Creative Cloud apps. With the 12k Ursa coming, I can't see BlackmagicRaw going away.
