I am watching videos on how to do credit rolls but I only seem to be able to access a counter intuitive version. What happened to the roll?
Use intuitive credit roll version not the very difficult one. I have been struggling with Premiere Pro for a while now and our team (amateurs) are tossing up between PP and I-Movie. I have been plugging for PP hoping for greater flexibility over time but it is so counterintuitive. For example, I looked up a PP instruction video with a great option for a "roll" button but my PP doesn't give it to me. I read somewhere that it is now legacy and they have replaced it with something much harder, much more annoying and frustrating. WHY?? I don't have time to ***** my head, I just want something simple and easy to learn and use. This is probably my last chance to make this work and it isn't going to happen tonight so I guess the team will move to I-movie - and it's free - and I will have to cancel my PP subscription ... sigh. There must be a lot of people out there like me.

To make a roll using Pr Graphics:
1. Add some text using the Type Tool in the Program Monitor
2. Select the Graphic (but not the text Layer) in the timeline
3. In the Essential Graphics Panel, check on RollThe rest happens automatically based on the duration of your Graphic and how many lines of text or other layers it contains. I'm not quite sure why people find that very hard, annoying or frustrating, but you are probably not the only one.
