Better Threadripper Support
I have 2 PCs, 1 with an I7 6900x and 1 with the Threadripper 1950x and opening the same project , the Threadripper struggles in playback. Cant play 1080 footage (without effects) without dropping frames. CPU utilization is 30% max and GPU is 5% max. Both machines have a GTX 1080 ti

We are investigating these reported issues. Thanks for the feedback.

Peter and Tyler, from my EXACT EXPERIENCE if you're not doing VR/360 video post-production DEFINITELY switch to Resolve 15. They update it every 2-3 weeks right now with features that are requested by users. In 6 months time it will be far ahead of premiere at the rate they are headed.
I'm using Resolve studio 15 for EVERYTHING except VR post.....with that I'm stuck with Adobe...for now.

Moving to Resolve is very tempting

This is A MAJOR PROBLEM. Please keep in mind that Davinci Resolve 15 has incredible performance with the THREADRIPPER CPU. We can always move over to Resolve. Not joking

Using premiere with a thread ripper 1950x, 64gb ram, Gtx 1080ti, I can not play ANY clips in the source monitor without dropping hundreds of frames. .mxf files seem to be the worst. Every other piece of software plays the files smoothly, even phantom 4, 4K vision plays smooth outside of premiere.

PLease give Premiere a boost in performance with Threadripper and multicore CPus and big graphics cards.
