Bug: Executing short cut for "Reveal in project" on Essential Graphics
Executing the short cut for "Reveal in project" on an Essential Graphics clip causes Premiere to crash.
"Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
apologies James, I mapped "shift+f" to "reveal in project". I have since updated premiere to the latest version and am unable to replicate the error. seems like it has been fixed. thank you for your time.
Thank you abe, could you maybe clarify a little more. What is your shortcut "shift+f" mapped to? Reveal in Timeline is not a shortcut-able command in PrPro 12.1.n.
I am using Mac High Sierra, Pr 12.1.1.
I have a shortcut for reveal in timeline as “shift+f”.
After selecting the type tool, I clicked on the program monitor to type a text, thus creating a graphics clip on one of the video tracks in the sequence.
Now I select this graphics clip on the sequence, and execute “shift+f”, causing Premiere to crash.
I understand that it won’t be in the project bins, just discovered it accidentally.
Thank you for this report. I'd like to know a little bit more about how you are making it happen. Graphics that you create in the Program Monitor or from the EGP have no Project item. They are just track items, so the Reveal in Project menu item should always by greyed out. There is a way to 'Upgrade to Master Graphic' and create a Project item for your Graphic(s). At that point, Reveal in Project should un-grey for Master Graphics in the timeline, but i just tried it in Pr 12.1.2 and there is no crash or other bug for me.
Can you please give me some precise steps for whatever you did, starting with however you created your Graphic in the first place. Also what version/OS are you using?
