Bug: Audio gain stopped working
- Open a clip in the source monitor.
- Open the Audio Gain window and set/adjust the gain to any value.
- Hit OK Nothing will happen - no processing and the audio levels won't change. The clip retains the gain value but it doesn't actually do anything.
This started to happen "out of the blue", I'm unable to point out any cause. I also doubt this is reproducible, and it will probably go away if I cleared my caches or started a new project. If I have more info I will post it here.
The point is, it shouldn't happen to begin with and is still a bug. At the very least, the more bugs we log here, the more Adobe gets a clear picture of just how buggy the releases have become and how important it is to invest in more bug-fixing.
The clip could have a retained, e.g. +30dB value in the bin/source monitor - but behave like 0dB. Once cut into the timeline, its gain value is... 0dB.
Once in the timeline, the gain adjustment for instance in the timeline works just fine.
