Sync and update .mogrt templates when changes are saved in After effects
If a client requires design changes for graphics templates that are already used in an edit, the current workflow is prohibitively tedious.
You currently not only have to reinstall the template, you have to replace every existing instance in your edit, AND re-do ALL your edits to each one.
This makes the entire process meaningless, and might as well go back to creating individual graphics in AE.

This only kind of works. When alt/opt. dragging, Pr resets every instance to the first frame; all edits have to be re-done.

James Strawn, THANK YOU. That is certainly a fantastic workaround.
Now I need to figure out why my templates do not appear when I search for their names. -
As of Pr 13.1 / Ae 15.1 Ae mogrts that have been used in a Pr sequence can be replaced with a new version of the template by alt/opt dragging an updated version onto an existing aegraphic in your sequence. You can choose to have the template updated everywhere it was used in the project or restrict the change to that one instance. Where possible, Premiere Pro preserves your customizations.
