Improve and Consolidate the Appearance of Duplicate Media
I can't tell you how many times I've imported a sequence, NOT clicked "Allow Importing Duplicate Media" and ended up with duplicate media anyway. Media that is clearly in my project.
Furthermore, deleting media that I know is a duplicate removes the clip instance in the timeline, so I'm forced to keep both copies.
It would be fantastic to have a feature where Premiere scans your project for duplicate media, media that is clearly, or nearly, identical, and allows you to choose which one to keep.

Duplicate media on import is now improved but still has foibles.
1. Import Seq 1 containing Clip 1
2. Import the same sequence (with 'no duplicates' selected)Second timeline has no duplicates in its folder & matches back to clip in first timeline folder. Great.
Deleting clip1 in first instance folder offers warning that it will remove it from sequence, but only removes it from second imported timeline. If you do the delete before the second import then there is no warning & no removal BUT you cannot now 'reveal in project' as it doesn't exist in a bin (and there is no 'show reference clips' option.

I wish I could vote for this a thousand times.
