Bug report: Dragging a clip to the source viewer doesn't work the first time.
Dragging a clip from the bin to the source viewer almost never works the first time; you have to do it twice.
This is very tedious, and it's the only way to get sequences into the source viewer (because double-clicking opens them as a timeline).
Use your modifier keys to open a bin in place. Alternatively you can set the default to open in place in the general preferences.
Unfortunately I can find no way to prevent a bin from opening up as a floating window, and then no way to dock the floating window as a tab in the project pane.
Very annoying. I've been planning to ask about this in the forum but haven't gotten around to it yet.
I just got around to watching this video. Does this behave differently if you have your clips in the same Window as your project? In this video your source bin is a separate OS window. Might help them narrow it down.
Thanks, Alan. Was going to look into the hotkey solution.
You can keybind open in source monitor or eight coick a clip and open it in source monitor. But yah... It should work.
