CSV Markers file IMPORT to sequence or clip
We can export markers, but not import them.
Import -> CSV or TXT or JSON -> markers to sequence or markers to clip.
Nothing too smart, just timecode and marker, maybe even the comment.
This would help integrate with nonstandard workflows and would help prevent us moving the whole workflow to a competitor product.

I'd like to be able to tag metadata using csv or similar, essential for tagging content in a film archive. We can then use an excel for categories instead of keying everything by hand.

I'm upvoting this as well. Manually marking something were I've got 58 TC notes in a comma delimited file is just plain dumb!

Need this feature. It cannot be that hard to implement

How has this not been resolved?

I am using the wonderfully lean Lossless Cut for pre-editing raw footage. The cuts are conveniently written into a csv file.
"Great!", I thought today. "I could actually create markers from this in PP!"
Why am I not surprised whatsoever....

I am dying for Adobe to implement this most basic of features. Every extension I've tried doesn't seem to work.

Yes, when will you finally make this necessary elementary function? There are markers in the export of EDL, but not in the import.

There now is a free extension that does the job!
Because Adobe has still not integrated this feature, as of April 2021 (PPro 15.0), I have developed an extension that can import timecode-related information from CSV files and will automatically create markers in the active sequence, based on the CSV data. This tool – I called it Markerbox – helps me save a lot of time, and so I want to make it available to everyone.
Markerbox is currently in beta stage, supporting CSV files from Screenlight.tv, Magix Sequoia and Adobe Premiere Pro, and it offers different options for the import, e.g. rules to color-code markers based on edit names. More formats and features are planned.
For the next stages, and especially for the support of further CSV file formats, it would be great to get an idea of what you guys actually want to import. Feel free to check out details at markerbox.pro and contact me directly.

Please make it possible. I use SyncSketch, ScreenLight and similar review tools, and this would allow me to import CSVs as overlay text or marker comments, which all of them are missing.

One route is use Transcriptive from Digital Anarchy. We've use their products for some time, and they help tremendously.

Amazing how many comments there are on this sub, come on Adobe we need an import function of CSV / XML which contains text, timecode, color information and we can append that to a clip in the Bin. Can't believe we don't have it

Marker import would improve workflow with customers and the will give us more time for creative editing.

I'm looking for a way to automate the creation of markers based on client feedback I received in an Excel sheet. Each note has a specific timestamp... so it seems like this shouldn't be so hard?

Adobe please do the thing, it's so simple... -

I might attempt to make an extension to do this. Screenlight ( https://exchange.adobe.com/creativecloud.details.14011.screenlight-marker-import.html ) is the closest thing I have found to a solution and it appears to be broken or at least didn't work for me.
