Thumbnails on exported file
It's completely ridiculous that PP doesn't let you set a thumbnail for the exported file. The thumbnail should at least be the first screen.

Please continue to upvote this. Thumbnail / poster frame / cover image are possible to include in some of the formats you export from Premiere Pro (This is also relevant as a feature request for Adobe Media Encoder and After Effects).
We know that video thumbnails are also controlled by the player, software and OS were they are viewed, but at least include the possibility to add a default custom thumbnail for Windows and Apple OS? We can set thumbnails when publishing directly to i.e YouTube from AME. Great, but don't stop there.
Video poster frame on export is one of the most requested features, but they are unfortunately divided into many different request posts.
I you want this: Please up-vote all of these or pick the most voted.
I won't name anyone, but there are 3rd party software (metadata and tag editors) that can fix this, but this should be fixed by Adobe. I know a feature like this will have some limitations based on format and where the video is stored and used, but that is easily fixed with a contextual warning. Please Adobe!

Also called Poster Frames. Adobe - please combine both these requests...poster frame/thumbnail - it's the same thing!

There is no program that exists that has control of that.

That thumbnail is determined by the specific player used. It's not part of the video file itself.
