Please DO NOT eliminate the Legacy Title creator in future updates.
Adobe tends to update with only the highly skilled pro in mind. But there are many advanced amateurs like me who DO NOT want to lose Legacy Title creator.

The Legacy Titler has been retired with Premiere Pro 23.0 (released October 2022). Projects that contain Legacy Titles will automatically get upgraded to Source Graphics which can be edited inside the newer Essential Graphics panel. We did not take this decision lightly and had been working on a transition for many years. If you feel that you are missing functionality in Essential graphics, please file new feature requests or vote for existing ones. You can still use the Legacy Titler in versions prior to 23.0. Hi James and Dacia,
Here's another issue with the new EGP:
When typing a new block of text in a title, hitting 'Esc' to exit text editing does not automatically change to the selection tool as in does in the Legacy Titler. In order to move/resize/rotate the newly created title, the user also needs to hit 'V'. This is inconsistent with the simpler/easier workflow people are used to in the Legacy Titler.
Official FR for this to be fixed here: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/41538067-egp-change-workflow-to-modify-newly-typed-title-f

After typing a new title in the EGP, it's frustrating to have to press both 'Esc' followed by 'V' before the title can be moved or resized in the Program Monitor.
The approach used in the Legacy Titler is much better:
When typing a title, hitting 'Esc' automatically exits typing AND reverts back to the Selection tool in a single step. This is a better approach for 3 reasons:
1. 1 step is easier/faster/less frustrating than 2 steps.
2. MANY titles consist of a single block of text, so while the EGP's approach does make it easier for a user to create additional blocks of texts (2 steps [Esc + click on new text location] vs 3 steps like in the Legacy Titler [Esc + T + click]), users would most often benefit from saving a step to modify their newly created title rather than saving a step to create an additional block of text within the same title.
3. It would keep the workflow consistent with the Legacy Titler, which isn't just more logical and useful, but also more familiar to long time Pr users.Little quirks like this might not seem like a big deal, but they present repeated points of frustration. Pain points should be eliminated as much as possible when forcing users to transition from a legacy tool to a newer version of it.

Hi Dacia,
I'm glad you found my suggestions for fixing EGP assets resizing useful! Feedback from Adobe reps means a lot to us, so thank you!

Hi James S,
Thanks for chiming in! There's a lot of issues with resizing Shapes and Text in Essential Graphics. I point out 12 issues and suggested solutions here:
https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/41079490-keyboard-modifiers-to-control-resizing-of-eg-title?fbclid=IwAR16rJMZRJlPUgteAaswvlkHZwXN0W5fLEOrR3ThvQ6yZEy_Ae1wyTrkZy4I also started a FB group to discuss FRs, in case you'd be interested in checking it out. Here's the same FR on my FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1638270639681590/permalink/1644399235735397/
Question: How can Pr users request to be selected to provide insights through a user study? I would love the opportunity to further assist Adobe through this venue as well!
-
Thank you for taking the time to comment, Nigel. We are interested in knowing what is or is not working well for users with Pr Graphics. I noticed you said you've had messy issues with the re-sizing of Shapes and Text. Can you tell me, or perhaps show me in a screenshot, what exactly the problem is?
In the meantime, there is not a single channel that we use to collect user feedback about a particular set of features. User Voice is a good source of info for us, but we also gain insight from user studies, customer visits and things like that. Adding comments and votes to a thread like this certainly helps us see how users feel.

I've been following this and many other User Voice threads now for some time and I think this is one of the few threads where I have seen any proactive positive response from Adobe on User Comments/Feedback.
This is a positive thing, but clearly there seems a distinct lack of formal process and information gathering on User Feedback by Adobe on introduction of new features/User Interfaces.
I question why it has taken until now for Adobe to interact on this Legacy Titler issue.
I have switched to using the Graphics Tab titler tool myself and have to agree with the recent User Feedback posts that it falls short in a number of areas.
In particular I have also had issues with the Shapes/Titles resizing and this is very messy.
In some cases Premiere (14.3.1) has repeatedly crashed whilst I was trying to change a Font in a MOGRT template.
I'll check out the exact circumstances of this again and post a reported bugIn the meantime - can Adobe provide feedback to this forum on how the formal process of how you collect User Feedback in a 'structured manner' prior to pulling the plug on established features and User Interfaces.
To me this is not obvious !!!I will check out the title in

Whether I'm a "highly skilled pro" is debatable, but I use Premiere Pro to produce broadcast & cable TV commercials. I'm very comfortable creating titles in After Effects and using the 'After effects Composition' to update them. However, I find the Premiere Graphics Panel to be very difficult to work with. I greatly prefer the Legacy Title over the Graphics Panel. Please do not remove it.

Thanks Pierre!
I've been remiss in addressing your awesome and thoughtfully gathered feedback from this post: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/41079490-fix-the-way-essential-graphics-resize.
Its been an open tab in my browser since the day you published it if its any consolation though! Its a REALLY good list. Thank you 🙏🏽.
Its really challenging to not be able to say more than we are listening and documenting y'alls feedback. Keep making noise though and sharing your thoughts. That helps make the case that things need to be revisited!
Thanks so much,

Hi Dacia,
2 big ways Essential Graphics could be improved (and begin truly competing with the Legacy Titler):
1. Fix the way EG titles/shapes are resized. Currently, it's an utter disaster (or 'garbage' as Luke MacDonald would say ;) https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/41079490-fix-the-way-essential-graphics-resize
2. Fix the way fonts are displayed. There currently seems to be zero consistency with how fonts are displayed between Adobe programs and even within Pr itself https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/41109709-improve-font-lists-in-egp-and-ecp
Thanks for listening! If anything isn't clear in those FRs, I'd be glad to elaborate!

Hi Luke,
No one wants to force you to use After Effects.. (well secretly .. I do because its my favorite software and I want everyone to feel like a wizard). In fact, one of the main motivations for creating the Essential Graphics Panel was to allow users in Premiere to work with Motion Graphics Templates (that were created in AE), natively in Premiere without having to leave the app. 🤷🏽♂️
With the new Mogrt workflow, we also re-envisioned the Premiere Graphics workflow to allow users to create templates that could be used across projects without having to re-create or import them again and again.
We are adding to and evolving this paradigm with every release, and building new tools takes time. I'm curious what makes it so unusable in your experience. What specifically are you missing and feeling frustrated by with the EGP? "Garbage" is hard to translate into action, but if there are more detailed critiques that you can offer, then we can use that feedback to guide future development.
Cheers,
Dacia -

The new title (graphics) system is garbage.
I pay good money for this every year. I can't even get an educational discount despite being a teacher, or pay once and get it for life and keep one version without getting useless "upgrades"
I already lost Encore, which was at least 25% of why I used Adobe stuff to begin with. Sometimes forward momentum can take you off a cliff.
1. Your new system sucks
2. There was no reason to get rid of the titler to begin with.Keep whittling away at all the reasons I actually pay for adobe stuff, though. I'm sure open source software is getting better. There will likely be a breakthrough in the next few years that will negate the need for an expensive NLE and have all the features I need. You won't release a Linux version, you threaten legal action to anyone using old software that we paid for, and you remove the features I actually use one by one. Every time you pull this ****, it makes it easier to ditch you forever.
If it was removed to force people to buy / use After Effects, well... I already pay for AE, but I don't want to have to open ANOTHER super resource intensive bit of software to do ONE THING that I could previously do in Premiere, let alone spend the time to learn new software that I just won't know how to use in 2 years anyhow. At least with the previous "buy" model, you could just learn your software and only have to learn new stuff in 6 or 7 years, instead of sometimes more than once a year. It's infuriating.

Premiere's Program Monitor has BLUE bounding boxes.
The Legacy Titler has WHITE bounding boxes.
WHITE AIN'T RIGHT! Why?
Because pure white bounding boxes become invisible anytime an editor is editing against a pure white background... and that's just purely stupid!
PLEASE MAKE ALL BOUNDING BOXES BLUE!
This fix is literally as easy as Adobe changing 1 number in Pr's code: the variable that controls the color of bounding boxes in the Legacy Titler.
Adobe, if you're going to arbitrarily change colors, as you did in CC14.3 by changing the color of software icons (something certainly no one ever asked for and that's of no benefits to anyone), could you at least change the color of bounding boxes in the Legacy Titler to blue? Pretty please?!
BTW, the cursor should also be changed from pure white to blue (or red, as is the case when editing Essential Graphics Titles).

@Sergiu Mihalache
You're not gonna like it.
HOW TO SAVE ALL YOUR LEGACY TITLES PERMANENTLY:
Create a new sequence with the same resolution as those titles.
place all the titles onto the sequence.
highlight them all, and open up the Clip Speed / Duration panel. (i believe it is CTRL R by default)
Change the duration to 00:00:00:01 (so, one frame each) and CHECK ON the "ripple edit, shift trailing clips" checkbox.
Press OK.
Now you should have a sequence with all your titles one 1 frame each.
Now, export that sequence as Format: PNG, PNG Sequence with Alpha.
Make a new folder and let 'em export.
Now, the exported pngs will no longer be editable in Premiere's legacy titler, but you will at least have saved them all in full quality. And you can use photoshop. Yep. -
@John P I probably didn't make it clear that I'm just scratching my brain for workarounds that might be viable for you, not excusing the feature gap with a cumbersome workaround.
I also tried Master Text Styles to see if that could be a way for you to set custom Small Caps Size onto several Layers/Graphics at once. But that did not work out since Master Text Styles do not support sub-strings.
I think we need to add Small Caps Size that are only possible in the Legacy Titler.

Hey Mike, thanks for the reply.
The Stroke options that I see are not comparable to the ones available in the LTM. Maybe I’m missing them and you can point them out.
I did figure out how to use the stock Pen Tool with EG in a somewhat similar way to the LTM, but the documentation here is lacking.
James: that’s extremely cumbersome for long texts.
Keyboard shortcuts please?
-
Graphics also have Small Caps and the size of those Caps relative to each other can be adjusted by using the Font Size property for selected characters.

Can you clarify your list a bit more? The new graphics system has:
- Strokes
- Pen ToolIs there something wrong with the new ones that make them unsuitable for you?

- Sheen
- Texture
- Small Caps Size
- Aspect
- More shapes than Rectangle and Ellipse
- Pen tools
