SHIFT to constrain mask edits Horz/Vert
Mask handles should work like paths/points in all other Adobe applications, where the shift key constrains edits horizontally and vertically.
Also, editing paths in general is needlessly tedious, so please implement:
- Shift key to constrain edits horizontally/vertically
- Clicking a line (in rectangular masks) moves two points at once
- Allow drag-select to select multiple points simultaneously
Also, please immediately fix this 2016 mask bug:

Maddening beyond belief. I now copy and paste things into After Effects when I need to do a lot of masking and link the composition. The back and forth is still faster that fighting with it in Premiere.

I'm just going to add my support of this thread. It's just confounding how this is still an issue.

If I can't reliably make horizontal/vertical masks then masks are literally unusable at this point in time. Is it some kind of deeper architecture thing holding this back? ALSO when feathering masks this causing yet more issues at the edge of the frame. Fix it!!

I can't believe this is still an issue. I just worked a project with a ton of rectangular masks and spent a LOT of extra time trying to keep them aligned (please let us snap mask points to guides also) and perpendicular.

Holding shift works,to constrain to horizontal and vertical, but it shifts them over by a few pixels, which means I I can't keep a perfect rectangle whenever I resize a box mask.
