Every **** update you break something. You could improve PPro by not improving it. Like not breaking my GoPro shots
With the latest 2018 "update" (12.1.1, Build 10), I have major media issues. Specifically for this post, all my GoPro footage (containing shots of sponsor automobiles, so I **** well better use them) refuses to come on-line. The project opens with them offline; when I try to Link, I get this lovely message:
What OS are you on? There is a known issue in 10.11 that can cause some files to come in as audio-only. One workaround is to update the OS to 10.12 or higher then clear your media cache.

It would be helpful if your "attach file" dialog actually attached a file. What the screenshot showed was an error message which read "The selected file cannot be linked because its type (audio) does not match the original file's type (audio and video). So SOMEHOW, PPro thinks that my GoPro shots (2704 x 1520 GoPro AVC codec) are AUDIO ONLY.
I get around this (and for this price, I shouldn't have to get around anything) by opening the files in QT Player and re-saving them (basically writing over them). Then Premiere can figure it out.
