Multiple audio transition lengths
Could you make it possible to have multiple standard audio transition lengths? 2 for instance :) This way, I could bind transition 1 to one key, and transition 2 to the other.
I usually use 2 frames for dialogue and 30 for music. Now I have to change to the default length in my settings constantly.

No need to reinvent the wheel? Agree a dialogue option would be a good start. Shortcuts would be better. If I wanted to edit on Avid, I’d have an Avid subscription.

I use Keyboard Maestro to achieve this atm. Calls up prefs, arrow & tabs to trans duration entry, amends, adds transition, resets to default.
Long term FR is for avid style transition dialogue. No need to reinvent the wheel

Great idea!
I would add that we should have 2 different keyboard shortcuts for adding video transitions and 2 for audio: 1 for the short duration option and 1 for the long duration. Having the option to set both durations in the Preferences window and attribute shortcuts to each would certainly be handy!
With multiple shortcuts, it would even be possible for users to assign different transitions to each!
Example:
Audio Shortcut 1: Constant Power, 20 frames
Audio Shortcut 2: Constant Gain, 4 framesVideo Shortcut 1: Cross dissolve, 30 frames
Video Shortcut 2: Dip to white, 10 frames -

I was just having the same thought about this today. Even if there was a keyboard shortcut that would take you to a quick menu asking how many frames you'd like the transition to be, kind of like how Avid has it.
