Add a Recent Clips popup menu to the Source Window (a la FCP7)
I miss terribly not being able to summon up the previous or 3rd last, or 7th last clip used with in instant pull down of a popup menu in the Source player window. I used to use this a lot in FCP 7.
Now I have to go to the timeline and match frame to a previous clip in the sequence just to load it in the source window again. It should be available in a pop up with the playhead parked where I last used it (or the I and O markers where they were last set.
Such a time saver! It could be an option in the preferences "Show recently used Clips in Source Window" with a field to enter 5 ,10, 15 or whatever.
That IS great, thanks Matt.

Hi Alan – good news! This feature already exists in Premiere. Just click the Source Panel Menu (three line button next to the name of the Source Monitor).
At the bottom of that menu will be a list of recently loaded clips.
Additionally, there are keyboard shortcuts you can map to move between clips loaded in the Source Monitor. In the Keyboard Shortcut Editor window, search for "Source Clip" and you will see a shortcut available to map for First, Last, Next, and Previous as well as closing that clip out of the Source Monitor.
