bug in captions/subtitles - can't use Export to Media Encoder with caption burn in enabled
It's a bug in your software, when exporting right out of Premiere it works to have the captions set to burn-in, if you choose Send to Media Encoder it will never work. No matter what you do you cannot get those captions / subtitles to burn in.
This is bad because it ties up your whole editing system just to export media one by one when you need burned in captions or subtitles.
12.0.0 build tested, bug everytime
12.0.1 also has same issue
This issue has been addressed with 13.x (CC 2019)
You can update to the latest version directly from the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Still an issue. Captions were exporting fine until I added a timecode overlay. Since then, even when I turn that off in the export settings, the captions will not export with my video.

is this still an issue?
WTH did I use Premiere for this type of work :P

I am still having this issue, even with the latest version installed. Super frustrating and even the workaround is not working now.

Still facing this issue on Premiere Pro v13.1.5 on Mac. It has NOT been fixed.

This issue has NOT been addressed as of 12.24.19, I have issues exporting directly from PP as well. Captions will display for 1 second then disappear, captions don't stay up consistently and are not reflective of the timeline

I am having this issue as well. Exporting directly in Premiere seems the only way to burn in captions.
I would upgrade to Premiere 2020, but BRAW is having playback errors in the latest version.

I had this exact problem, which was avoided by bypassing Media Encoder in Premiere 13.1.5 (Build 47) / Windows 10 Pro 1903
I note there is an update in Creative Cloud, so I will upgrade ... but FYI.

This is a total time waster, when we have several videos to export that all have captions. We have to individually export them one by one and of course our computer is tied up before we can export the next one, or edit another project. PLEASE FIX THIS BUG

this bug is not fixed.

I am having the same issue described at top of this thread and am running Premiere v13.1.5.
This is a giant nuisance preventing batching exports that generally would be left to be automated overnight. Please address! Thanks.
