Premiere Pro's Newest update doesn't recognize common codecs as Video Files [.mp4 and .mov files are recognized as audio files only]
Premiere Pro does not consistently import MP4 or MOV footage as video files, and often only recognizes them as Audio files. This is common format amongst most prosumer level cameras. Not to mention a lot of Pro Level cameras still use this format. This problem is not seen in PP 12.0.1 and hasn't been seen since CS6. Please repair this ASAP.
I'm editing footage from my cancer journey for a show. I imported over 100 videos, all shot on iPhone from early 2017 to now. Over half of the clips appear as audio only. Please let us know when we can expect this to be corrected. Thank you!
