Panel to cut and paste text
A panel that holds text (from documents, etc.) so it is easier to copy, paste text into graphics while working in Premiere (and for that matter After Effects) Unless I am missing something, I have to go back and forth from my open doc to premiere, back to the doc, etc.,etc to do that.

Was just about to post this same idea. I work off a lot of scripts as well as revision notes. I'm also away from my main setup a lot so I don't have 2 monitors, would be great to have just a resizable window to paste that kind of stuff.

This would be great. For small stuff Adobe could just buy the panel from the folks that made Post Notes and keep it updated.

Thanks for the request. So it sounds like your scenario is that you have a lot of copy written in an external text doc, like for subtitles or roll content, and you want to quickly copy and paste blocks of text from there into Graphics Text Layers without having to jump out of PrPro each time? If so, you are not missing anything, that is probably the most straight forward way to do it currently.
I tried pasting lots of formatted text into a metadata panel field, like the ones for Speech Analysis or Story Script and was unable to just manually paste to anywhere useful in there. You could consider pasting it all into one layer first and then copying the chunks out of there and pasting into new layers as needed. But you'll have to keep switching between Layers/Graphics/Sequences each time which doesn't seem much easier than just copying out of your text doc each time.
If you set up side-by-side or pancake sequences, you could speed it up a bit by just switching between a 'copy' sequence and a 'paste' sequence, but that's probably not exactly what you want either. At any rate, it's a compelling request, so I will cast my own for it (+1).
