typing text keyboard shortcuts
Running Premiere Pro version 12.1.1 for macOS I get a bug when trying to type text in the program window. Occasionally, when the text box is highlighted and enabled so I can write inside it, typing anything doesn't actually add text - it activates keyboard shortcuts.
For instance, I was trying to add a comma into a simple text and instead of adding the comma it inserted a clip from the source window into the timeline.

I got home and have been editing for the last 2 hours and so far the bug hasn't happened again.
I forgot to note, though: I use a dual monitor setup, although not Premiere's native video output option. I drag windows back and forth to create custom workspaces; my timeline, project, source, effects and every conceivable control are on the external monitor while the program and audio monitors are on the iMac's screen.

Yes to all three questions. I’ll try and replicate the issue as soon as I get home, but so far it’s pretty random. I haven’t noticed anything in particular that causes this issue.

Just to help make sure it's not a simple error, can you please tell me:
1. Is the Type Tool selected in the Tools Panel?
2. Is the Program Monitor in Focus? (should have a blue outline around it)
3. When you try to enter text, is the type outlined in Red with the text caret inserted and/or one or more characters highlighted in red?If the answer to all three of those questions is "Yes", can you perhaps send me some simple steps and/or a screen movie of what you are doing to get into the situation so that I can try to repro it locally?
