Bug - Audio effect settings being reset when duplicating sequence
When duplicating a sequence, some of my audio effects settings, typically my compressor (usually this is a single-band compressor), has its settings reset.
This is EXTREMELY frustrating, especially when other editors need to jump into a project, and suddenly the sound is messed up.
- Set up a compressor on your Bus Track.
- Adjust settings of compressor to suit audio
- Duplicate sequence
- Marvel as all of your settings are intermittently reset

This issue was resolved in 2018. Please ensure you’re using the most recent releases to benefit from the fix and update.

I'm having the same issues when sending multiple dialogue tracks to a submix track with the multiband compressor. Has happened on multiple projects. Running Windows 10, Premiere 12.1.1.

Yeah, I absolutely empathise with you there. I duplicate sequences regularly, so this is definitely getting in the way of being productive.

I have the same problem with the Multiband Compressor. I duplicate sequences often so it's a significant problem for me.

@ Matt - The lack of being able to copy and paste audio effects has driven me crazy for so long!
Setting up pre-submix track effects for individual speakers is an incredible pain when you have to start from scratch each time. Add to that the current issue where your effects might be reset, and you have an absolute "delight" of a working environment.

Same here. In a professional environment, this is HORRIBLY FRUSTRATING. It seems like with every update, something new goes wrong. Why are these things not tested before released. I live in fear now with every update. They add new features, which are great, but simple ones like audio effects and now font issues, pop up.
Also, why can't you copy and paste audio effects to another track? Or hold option to click and drag to duplicate. This works in Audition!
Come on Adobe, you can do better than this!

Same here! Terrible!
with me, its random sometimes duplicating a sequence with audio track effects is resetting them sometimes it's not.
my workaround (when I notice the bug) - is to re-duplicate the source timeline delete all clips and paste the contents of the duplicated sequence that the track effects has been rest...
terrible...
