Error When Importing "Some" Identically-Shot Video Clips
I recently purchased Adobe Premiere May 2018, and began having trouble importing some video clips. After a lot of research and trial and error, I see this issue has been going on for the past 4-5 years, if not longer. I've used Premiere on-and-off over the years since v. 3.0, but it's instability is what caused to me use other software over the years.
Error: "The file has found no audio or video streams." Sometimes I also receive a warning dialog box popup n lower right corner of screen stating: "Low level exception (ImporterMpeg: 39)."
I have tried everything (everything) that other users have tried over the past 4-5 years, but no fix.
However... Attention Adobe Premiere engineering and programming team!
The "problem clips" import into DaVinci Resolve 14 and 15 beta without any trouble. So I got an idea... I rendered and saved the "Adobe problem clips" in DaVinci Resolve, and then I was able to import the newly saved "problem clips" into Premiere without any issues.
I don't see this as the codec having an issue with the application but rather the other way around. I see the app (Premiere) having issues the codec. Resolve can work with these "problem clips" so why can't Premiere?
