Premiere OMF Export should create same file as Audition OMF
When I send an OMF to our sound Mixer (who uses Pro Tools) there is a difference in how tracks are laid out depending on whether I export the OMF from Premiere or Audition.
When we use 5.1 audio in Premiere and export an OMF directly from Premiere, the tracks are laid out randomly in Pro Tools (instead of the standard Left, Right, Center, LFE, LeftSurround, RightSurround). If I right click on the exact same sequence and "edit in Audition", and then export the OMF through audition without any other changes, the tracks are laid out perfectly in Pro Tools.
All told, Premiere and Audition should create the same OMF files with the correct track layout.

AAF export is currently broken in Premiere v12.0.1. We haven't upgraded to 12.1.1 as there seem to be a lot of other bugs and we want to make sure it's more stable before moving the office over.
In any case, the bug fix list for v12.1.1 didn't mention the AAF issues we were having, which were that clips would be randomly out of sync in Pro Tools. I have already posted a Bug Report/Feature request for that item, but either way the OMF issue is something that should be fixed or deprecated.

Have you tried this with AAF export? For the past few years, PPro has been focusing its efforts on improving AAF export since that is the more supported interchange these days.
