Ripple Rate Stretch
There's no way to make Rate Stretch a "ripple" edit to push material ahead out of the way as you pull it.

100% agree. Just like users can use the Ctrl-keyboard modifier to turn the Trim tool into a ripple trim tool, the same should apply to the Rate Stretch tool. It's only logical that it should work this way as well.
Additionally, the rate stretch tool should show the resulting speed of the clip in the tooltip, not just the number of frames trimmed and the resulting duration of the clip (which is probably irrelevant information to most users, most of the time)

This only works in Speed option panel. What gives Adobe?

I did a search today to figure out how to do a ripple rate stretch. Kinda mind boggling that this tool can not function this way. Come on Adobe, help an editor out.
v annoying this is not a thing

That would seem the logical way for this tool to function.
