Add Dynamic Linking to tools like Resolve
Lumetri is great and Colorista is a fab plugin for Premiere, but most professional Colorista use Resolve. If I could avoid a Resolve round trip (via render and/or XML) and instead be able to have Resolve open up like PS, AE, etc, then Premiere would gain major grading functionality. Secondaries and node-based grading are essential tools for Colorists and unless Lumetri is going to offer those functions, it won’t be a true professional grading competitor. Offering control surface compatibility was a great step tho!
The clip doesn’t have to open an internal Pr panel with Resolve functions, it just has to access the rendered clip’s traceback to Resolve (which may be fairly easy with a side car XMP file or as part of the database).
Additinally, I believe that by opening this door, it will take the competitive battleground away from DaVinci which is gaining market share. This marketing strategy could work with other software too.

I just want them to bring back SpeedGrade and upgrade it. It hasn't been upgraded in so long and is still so much more powerful than lumetri and it's ability to have a grade come in as an effect was amazing.

I'm skeptical Adobe would ever add such connectivity to a competitor's software.

In my opinion I think it would be better if Premiere had more powerful color tools natively.
