quicktime 7 support
I understand that you've removed Quicktime 7 support.
As someone who works in a post production house in Asia, there are several codecs (i.e. XDCAM HD422 & H.264) that would still be required in the technical specifications for deliveries to particular networks to be delivered in MOV.
This is disruptive to our processes, as we would rather keep our entire processes within Premiere but now we have to use other external software to output these.
Would it be possible to bring back the Quicktime support until you're completely sure it's obsolete in all regions of the world?
The OS level support for these codecs is gone.
Rather than recreate support for these old formats ourselves, Adobe will instead continue to invest in supporting new and current formats.
Bring it back for all of us. I live in the US and do videos for Getty Images. Now that is impossible using Adobe products. Guess it time to move on, or do you intend to bring it back in the next few weeks?
Madness, was just about to make the jump from Mac to PC as Apple have forgotten there Pro users. 90% of my assets and projects are in QT Pro. Looks like Adobe are now following the trend of supporting the general public rather than the Pro's who supported there growth from the beginning! Frustrating this argument between Apple and Adobe has been going on too long! Can't we just all get along and create great work across platforms!
