Show creation date information for sequences created.
Include a creation date for sequences. Could this be a column in the metadata display?
Maria Adams commented
I am on version 23.0.0 and neither creation or modification date shows up for my sequences still. Photo attached.

Still doesn't work...I'm on 188.8.131.52 (Build 63). Please re-open consider adding this feature.

Hello Jessica Nunez Sutherland and Premiere Pro team! Unfortunately, the metadata fields you mention do NOT work on sequences, which is the point of this feature request. See attached screenshots testing in Premiere Pro 22.6.2 and the public beta 23.1.0. Please reopen this feature request for us. Editors will benefit from being able to see when their *sequences* were created and modified. Thank you.

Lol, Adobe dev answered with wrong information. Marked it as complete.
Keep doing great work Adobe! That's why my tv show will be using AVID next year.

Hi Jessica - I've just checked in v22.5...Those fields are not populating unfortunately. Are you referring to a later version of PPro?

Adobe only pays attention to the top two of user ideas. They know better than us.

I would use it to know what is the most recent graphic or scratch VO or gee, anything where you want to know the most recent of.

I started adding YYYYMMDD- to the head of my timelines for now but yeah, still would love this.

I'm starting to think these user forums are just here so we can yell into the void. 4 years of asking for this very basic feature and update after update, it's never been implemented!?!
I doubt the Adobe devs even read the forum posts at this point.

I'm a decades long Avid editor, who switched to Premiere a couple of years ago. I'm very satisfied with the switch, except for the issue that I can't tell when a sequence was created. This seems like such a no-brainer, that I'm totally baffled as to why this is not possible.
Adobe - please please please add this feature in the next roll-out. It's driving me crazy. I have to manually enter the date of every sequence I create, and everytime I duplicate a sequence I have to number it, so I can keep track. Why? Why? Why? Please add the option to view this most basic information.
Thanks a bunch!!!

throwing my name into the hat for this feature request.

Creation Date would seem like a solution but when added the column remains blank. Am I missing something or is this function still not available?
Alex Warren commented
I am able to do this with Premiere 15.2.0
Metadata Display > Basic

Avid Media Composer did this, back before the turn of the century... Ouch! :=)

Pat, this feature looks like it's been requested for the last decade accross many many posts. It's unfortunate that they're not combined.
The nature of the importance of this incredibly basic functionality makes it's lack of inclusion a complete mystery, which I think is why people are so perplexed.
Also, if you worked in software development, you would know how easy this is to implement. They already have a way to pull metadata, they already have a way to add custom columns and sort by them.
Also many other adobe products already allow this.

Just a guess, but maybe you aren't getting a response because:
1. The rest of us put date stamps in the sequence name because it is more visible, takes up less metadata column space, is always visible everywhere, and sorts by default.
2. This thread is part of the forum with a form for making feature requests. Here's the root: https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html. The process is to submit a request and wait. Unless you're an EP with a major production house, telling Adobe they "suck" or threatening to cancel you subscription is not going to move your request up in the queue.
3. I've worked in software development and I can tell you that there are thousands of feature requests in the list all the time (currently 9021) and over 9 million Premiere users. 54 people demanding that their pet feature be implemented doesn't mean much, if anything. You have to remember that you represent .000006 of the installed base.
4. As an editor, don't you just hate it when a director or client asks you to make a change and tells you it won't take very long? How is that different than a customer demanding that Adobe implements a feature and says "it should be very easy"?

I Can actually, seriously not even believe that this is not possible in Premiere. This is absolute basic and fundamental functionality!

ADOBE WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THIS ...IAM RIGHT NOW TRYING TO WORK OUT WHAT DATE I CREATED A SEQUENCE COMPARED TO ANOTHER. OTHER SOFTWARE CAN DO IT....WHY NOT YOU??? I AM READY TO MOVE TO RESOLVE CUTTING!

I want this in my display and searchable- Please give me date created and date modified!
