Track Select Forward Tool - want to select multiple, but not all tracks
The Track Select Forward Tool - I'd like to be able to use the Track Select Forward tool to select say, just 2 tracks. Right now I can only use it to select ALL tracks or to select just one track.

Track select tool used to select one track by default, and Shift to select all. Now it is by default selecting ALL tracks, and this is a totally useless and counterintuitive behaviour. Shift is generally used by almost all apps to select multiple items. Why on earth did they need to change it? In my workflow I mostly need to select just one track, and rarely all of them. Also agree - selecting just several tracks as an option must be also added.

The old way of "A" for a single, Control+A to choose multiple tracks and Shift+A for all tracks made way more sense!

FCP 7 implementation worked well - I think unshifted was select all, shifted was select only single track (both like PP) but adding command allowed single tracks to be added/subtracted to selection.
Avid implementation is for track forward to obey timeline selected tracks (ie v1,a3 etc)

If you hold SHIFT and click on the lock icon next to any track, it will lock all tracks. Then you can unlock the ones that you want to adjust and use the Track Select Forward Tool to move just those two (or more) tracks that you unlocked.
