I'm having a horrendous time with both the 'search box' (bin filter)
and equally with Search bins.
Neither work for me. Both are unusable:

I'm also having various problems related to the search bar still in 13.0.2 (Build 38).
- Search Bar is greyed out after importing a large amount of footage
(workaround: moving all the video files from many different sub folders into one folder that contains the entire project. There are several hundred files in there right now. I had to rename them all in Windows Explorer in order to make this even work)- Search Bar shows "weird" an inconsistent results
Let's say I have twenty clips that have "search key word A" in the describtion or the name.
I type "search key word A" into the search bar and it shows me two of the twenty clips. Or six, or none. Just anything.- I get interrupted while typing into the search bar.
I have seen this beeing reported a lot.
There is even a video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy113vi9zuQ- Search bins do nothing at all.
Create one and it will always be empty whatsoever.
Not that I need them or want them but i figured that out while troubleshooting the search bar.- All these problems accur no matter if the metadata is wirtten into the video file itself or an xmp. file.
And now some information on my system that the developers asked for on this site (https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/how-to-user-voice.html):
Windows 10 home, Ryzen 7 1700x, Asus Prime X370-Pro, 32GB RAM 2400 Fury Black, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
I'm editing off of different drives (only one at a time). Problem accurs on every possible location on the computer.
Doesn't matter if it's on a SATA HDD or a SATA SSD or on a M.2 SSDThe footage I'm editing is MXF. from a Sony FS5.
I worked with this sort of footage before on the same system and I had no problems at all.If I can't fix this bug, Premiere is pretty much useless to me for bigger projects.
That is why I try to keep this comment as constructive as possible.
Pease do something about it Adobe! -

This problem has been occurring on every single version since 2017.
And yes, it is also happening in 13.0.2 (new install, brand new project) -

Another frustrating issue. Have spent way too much time trying all the fixes. A few have worked for a single session. Then the search is gone when re-opening the project. A major pain. A toss up as to which is the bigger complaint ProRes RAW or this.

Yes, please make this a top priority as it has stopped working on many of my projects and I can't get it back.
