THIS ISSUE IS STILL HAPPENING AND IT'S AFFECTING MY JOB! I call Premiere and they don't understand the issue. I need this to be fixed Adobe! I've been a loyal customer for over a decade.

I'm using Premier 14.4 MacOS 10.15.6 and I'm having the same problem. It's an extremely important feature and it's been hit or miss for a long while now with Premier. It needs to be fixed once and for all.

It is still an issue with latest 2020 version

Get a load of this. I restarted Premiere to re-activate search as some others have suggested. I was able to enter text into the search box, but the results didn't show. While I was continuing to try to search, the box grayed out WITH MY CURRENT SEARCH TERM STUCK IN THE SEARCH BOX. Now, the search results do not display BUT NEITHER DO ANY OF THE FILTERED OUT CLIPS - NO CLIPS SHOW IN THE BIN NOW. AND I CAN'T REMOVE THE SEARCH TERM WITHOUT RESTARTING PREMIERE.
SERIOUSLY?????

"Create new search bin from query" button was working last week, now it's not! There is no new bin visible resulting from the search. Windows 10, Premiere 14.0

As of the 2020 version Adobe still hasn't fixed the problem, despite what Patrick Palmer claimed in 2018. Fortunately, re-launching Premiere seems to do the trick.

Search bins still not fixed -- here's another post from 2019: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/36466480-premiere-pro-cc-2019-13-0-2-search-find-bin-fi

While this issue may have been "addressed", it was not "successfully addressed". 12.1.2 did not resolve the issue -- it was evident immediately in July of 2018 that it was not fixed, nor has it been fixed since. Patrick Palmer ( https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/users/768668998-patrick-palmer ) please address.

I still face this issue intermittently. I'm working with 7,262 clips, all with metadata. Not being able to search is not being able to edit. I think it's fundamentally wrong to ask for money for services that are inconsistent and unreliable. And I think Adobe's response to the situation is dismal at best–120 comments, no support.
"Don't upgrade your project" shouldn't be Premiere's mantra. You should expect to be able to upgrade your project with each release.
I've been exporting ALEs to test switching to Avid.
Working with 14.01, windows.

v13.0.1 0n mac OS 10.13.6, the search window is very buggy, working intermittently, very frustrating, slowing work down a lot. Please, please fix.

Fix the project window search bar. It has not worked since 13.0.2 and all subsequent versions have not rectified this "HUGE" flaw...

While you continue to struggle with Adobe's crippled software, their staff can be found lounging around here: https://www.cinema5d.com/inside-adobe-an-exclusive-behind-the-scenes-documentary/
Everyone looks very comfortable and wealthy. Well done Adobe.

Adobe is playing games. Search Box is still not working correctly in v13.1. But of course there are more 'new features' while crippling and breaking old 'critical features' like search.
With this latest release 13.1, it has been said they say they have fixed 103 bugs but if you go here (Adobe's bugs fixed page) they don't list what those bugs are: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/premiere-pro/kb/fixed-issues.html
Super lame Adobe... but it fits with the path you are on.

But I'm on the most recent version of premiere and this issue persists? Why? (APRIL 2019)
