BUG REPORT: The April 2018 update to Premiere and After Effects broke my fonts
Upon updating I lost the use of some of the fonts installed on my computer. They continue to work in Photoshop, but then after effects and premiere have an error saying they are missing. Downgrading to the previous version of premiere fixed the problem, but I now have new and old projects so I will have to update and downgrade my premiere based on the project I am working on.

Hey, has this issue been solved yet? I just started working in After Effects, and I can't use certain fonts.
Please, Adobe. This is making my life a misery. The fonts work on a Mac but I mostly have access to a PC at work so that is messing me up. Why are you making your software get worse and worse. You're pushing us towards Davinci and other options. This is so sad

I was having this same problem. I tried everything to fix it, and then out of nowhere, uninstalling and reinstalling After Effects repaired the font issue. I tried that before and it didn't work, so it may not work for you but it's worth a try!
Has this problem been addressed?

Same here: I have hundreds of fonts that still show up in Font Explorer, but Premiere doesn't see them at all.
yes, we have this same issue and it's killing me on this project where I need to use a font (in this case it's Gotham) that is installed on my MacBook but does not appear in premiere. (it shows up fine in photoshop).
PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!

Same problem in Premiere and After Effects in 12.1 and 12.1.1
The affected fonts are a combo of Font Suitcase and PostScript fonts. My theory is that PostScript fonts are the common factor having heard from other users here:
We got around this issue by finding .ttf or .otf versions of the fonts we needed and uninstalling the PostScript fonts.
We are on Mac Pro OSX 10.11.6 (El Capitan).
