An option to remove the audio clip icon overlays for L, R, Ch. 1, Ch. 2, etc.
These are constantly covering up the waveforms, making it difficult to edit audio, unless you zoom in and/or increase the track height.
Here's in image to show just how troublesome this can be:

The ideal solution would also have an associated shortcut, for easy toggling on/off, just as we have for audio track names.
This is item 96 on my spreadsheet.

This still hasn't been done? I wound up here as a result of a hair-tearing search to find out how.

Agreed with below comments: constant annoyance. Would be nice option to hide/show, especially when you're working with only 2 or 1 channel audio.

As noted in one of the forums, the ends of the clip is where the fine edits happen and the labels cover up important waveform info. Plus one from me.
