Option to use proxies or source clips when exporting
I use Premiere generated proxies with a baked in Rec709 LUT for my projects. For previews it would be nice to have the option to use these proxies and not the source clips when exporting.
Yes, you can choose to add a LUT in the export dialoge, but since I'm working with different cameras and log formats this is no option for me.

It's there in 14.4 ... but it doesn't export the audio from the proxies, it takes it from the original :-(
If you synch the audio files from an external recorder while generating proxies they won't be exported which seems pointles -

I swear I saw somewhere a new checkbox "Use Proxies" at export but I don't remember where :(

I'm not sure because I also see this in the "BETA" features panel (so maybe it is for the next version 14.4). You're right you shouldn't update in the middle of the project ! Guess you'll have to wait for next time you can update safely

Antoine, is this only available with v 14.3? I'm in the middle of a project and don't want to upgrade until it's finished. Unfortunately, the client wants me to send a proxie file now.

Yes, please! This is a very important piece of the proxy workflow. Currently, we have the option to "Use Previews" when exporting from Premiere - all we'd need is another checkbox that says "Use Proxies." For large projects, the offline workflow needs to stay offline until the final stages, when it's brought back online. Currently, since Premiere uses original media to export, it's only a hybrid offline workflow.

Would definetly be a great workflow extension! Added on a seperate thread: make xml export possible with proxies, too!

We needed this feature 4 years ago when it was first introduced.

This would save so many hours when working with 4k60 h265 footage. Please do this!!!

Yeah right so you would need an automatic way to offline the original medias and save the project in a temp location just to be safe, then export

@antoine, you can't just turn on the proxies and export. Premiere is gonna export the high rez media if that media is online. So in order to export proxies, you need to OFFLINE all of your original media. Which...is fine. I assume it's what everyone in this thread does. But 1) it takes time and 2) it just invites problems into the workflow.

Couldn't you just turn on all proxies then export ?

AGREED. Fix the Proxy issues like this, plus the ability to easily RECONNECT proxies instead of having to do it one by one. PLEASE fix, will save infinite hours of time.

ADOBE PLEASE!!!
I offline everything when I export so that Premiere *has* to use proxies!! A simple enough workaround but sometimes this can complicate things!
But it would be so much simpler to just have a checkbox for this!!
