Multiple Bin Views
It's great that we can see our media with the larger previews offered by Icon view, but I find it more efficient to look at most things in List view. The problem is we can only have one or the other. With media in Icon view, all other bins are also in Icon view, and that's just...ugly. So, we have to constantly switch views back and forth depending on which bin we're in. That get's old real quick.
I'd love for PP to keep most things in List view, with only Video clips in icon view. The problem is, how do you implement that?
One way is to store each bin view independently, such that when you change the view, that change only applies for THAT bin.
Another way is for PP to offer an IntelliView option, such that whenever there are video clips in a bin, it automatically goes into Icon view, but without video clips it would go into List view. This could also apply to titles and image files, according to user settings. This IntelliView would be in addition to the List and Icon views we have now, not instead of.

I think what he's saying is not multiple panels with different views, but rather each bin memorises it's own individual setting. So, for example, My whole project panel root bin might be set to LIST view. If I double click on my "Media" folder, that also opens in LIST view. But then when I click on "Cam_A" it opens up with ICON view. If I click to go back one level, it opens the Media folder again, back in LIST view. You could still change between LIST and ICON view at any time for any open bin, but each bin would always remember it's last selected state.
No matter how many panels or monitors you have active, sometimes you just always want particular bins to be viewed a certain way (for example ICON view is often useless for stock/production music as it cuts the filenames short and all you see is the confusing reference numbers at the start of name - so you could set any bins containing production music to LIST view and have them stay that way).

Wait, what??
"All the other bins are also in icon view"
That's not true. You can have a mixture of list mode and icon mode. Here's a screenshot for proof:

This is a screenshot of my 2nd monitor. Notice how it's covered in nothing but bins? In this way, I never have to spend any time navigating through a maze of bins, and changing icon sizes, and going from list to icon view... Each bin is dedicated. Mattes are always in the same place. B roll is aways on the right-most side. etc. etc.
My middle, primary editing monitor has no bins at all.
Then I have a 3rd monitor that is ALSO covered in bins. And the audio track mixer. And sometimes the Lumetri scopes.Jim, my man, get yourself an extra monitor. I'll SEND you one. They're so cheap these days. It doesn't need to be color calibrated, or anything fancy. Just use it for bins. Bins bins bins!
