Support for ProRes RAW
Support for Apple's newest codec, ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ

Hello ProRes RAW community,
as of today, you can start using ProRes RAW in Premiere Pro 14.2 (public release).
Thanks to the large group of people from this thread that helped us during the last couple of weeks in putting finishing touches on the implementation through our beta program.
More info on 14.2 is available from:

Cheers,

CinemaDNG is Adobe’s baby. Since Apple’s announcement, I could see Adobe siding with Blackmagic Design and supporting compressed CinemaDNG RAW. The request link is here:
https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro?query=raw%203%3A1Compressed CinemaDNG RAW already exists since 2014 but Apple conveniently ignored it in their whitepaper. It was invented by Blackmagic Design, extending CinemaDNG, and is in their cameras and works with Da Vinci Resolve already. Maybe this is where Apple decided they needed to do the same, but with lots of the usual marketing pretending again that they are the first inventor.
Maybe everyone here should be asking for that instead, since you're not FCPX users? I doubt CinemaDNG RAW 3:1 and 4:1 are proprietary like ProRes is. This means there's a better chance with more and more products supporting it.
Since Apple is starting a compressed RAW codec war, maybe Premiere should support both?
CineForm RAW also has existed for ages, now owned by GoPro and later open-sourced, though it never gained much traction. It’s in FFmpeg though.

...Yeah now I'm forced to use an old mac just so I can take advantage of Prores Raw on the Inferno (I know, first world problems). But seriously, What kind of company launches a new acquisition codec on a popular platform and then locks it down to their ecosystem? Oh right, this is Apple we're talking about.... See you all next year!

Atomos updated their Inferno to capture ProRes RAW, check... Sony FS5 with RAW output, check... Please oh please make this work. I have a project early this summer that would really benefit from this workflow. Yeah I'm being selfish but I've recorded and seen it on my Inferno. ALL IN!!!

You have to wait 6 month to get Prores Raw for A PR. Apple made a deal with Atomos, not to spread the ProRes RAW before the period is over... Sorry guys.... Get use to FCPX for the next 6 month

Please hurry. I had to buy FCP to work on a client's project. I hate FCP, but it handles AP RAW like a champ.

Is this really a question? Of course we'd like RAW support, ProRes or otherwise.
