Support for ProRes RAW
Support for Apple's newest codec, ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ

Hello ProRes RAW community,
as of today, you can start using ProRes RAW in Premiere Pro 14.2 (public release).
Thanks to the large group of people from this thread that helped us during the last couple of weeks in putting finishing touches on the implementation through our beta program.
More info on 14.2 is available from:

Cheers,

Q4 2019... Dec 24th.
Yet more bs by Adobe. No wonder people are jumping ship BACK to FCP. :-o
Just bloody announce something and say 'delayed until jan/feb/march/april' so people who are waiting have a clue. -

I'm a Windows Adobe Premiere user and just sent my Nikon Z6 to get its Prores RAW upgrade. Hoping you folks at Adobe can get this update in soon. There's been a few releases since the the post above, let's get this thing out!

I'm starting recording for a new project spring 2020. I will edit Q3-4 2020. Is it absolutely safe to do the recordings in Proress Raw so I can edit them in CC.
Last year I had to playout all the files from my atomos Inferno and record them to another to be able to use the raw files. -

Is your Q4 in December 2019 or June 2020 (calendar or fiscal year)?

Sounds Great - last summer I recorded a project in Prores raw - got a lot of problems playing it out from one Atomos unit to another. I really want to know.... Can I record the next project to be edited in fall 2020 in Prores raw? And I really want to stay with premiere!!!

Hallo, anyone has experience with Edius? It seems does support prores raw.
I am really tired with Premiere. -

Any chance Adobe will commit to ProRes RAW at this point? It seems that they have had more than enough time to sort out an agreement with Apple, so my guess is that they don't want to. Has anyone heard otherwise?
BlackMagic RAW is finally supported via a free plug-in, but it was a big buggy when I tried it. At least Black Magic is trying to get BMRAW into our workflow. I sure wish Adobe would do the same for ProRes RAW.

@ Alex4D
I think you’re mistaken. Adobe did NOT keep us up to date on this. Adobe was silent for over a year despite relentless requests from users on an update, progress, a clue, anything. Not a peep. Do not give Adobe credit for keeping us updated....when they have definitely left us in the dark until now. Many of us already switched editing systems because of this.

About f'ing time. Although seriously? It wouldn't have been hard to announce this months ago considering you've had it in dev for a long time.

Great that this kind of answer can appear online and that Adobe keeps us up to date on this. So much better than the way Apple limits what the Final Cut Pro team can do

Well seems like I will be buying a used FS5/FS7 with an Atomos Shogun at the end of the year.
