Postscript fonts don't work after updating to 12.1.0 (Build186)
After updating to Premiere 12.1.0 (Build186) as well as After Effects 15.1.0 (Build 166) postscript fonts are not recognized in either application.
I should know better than to update in the middle of a project, but seeing as it was only a point release, I thought I was safe. What gives Adobe?

I found a solution. Download an OTF font and create a text box with the OTF font. Don’t have to use it but it has to be created. Then use the ttf fonts that you were using before.

Patrick, 12.1.2 didn't fix a thing. Our fonts still aren't loading in Premiere and After Effects.

Hey Adobe, remember when I posted this on April 5th?
Still NOTHING

Yup... this also cost me several hours. Only saving grace was that I was able to go back to CC2017 and finish the project there.

I always update because I'm waiting for a bug fix to some annoying issues, and then the update always gives me a new set of bugs. New features are great, but I need a working NLE, or at least an easy workaround. The lack of acknowledgement/info on this one meant I spent a lot of time wasted thinking it was my issue.

Hey Adobe - I originally posted this on April 5th and still no fix.
This is EMBARRASSING.

Thanks a lot, Adobe. My multi-episodic series is now stalled after 11 episodes because none of our fonts function and they don't exist as TrueType. Way to support your professional users - silence for 30+ days.

Since Adobe isn't helping any of us, here is a link to a font conversion tool so you can convert the Fonts you've purchased to OTF. http://fontgear-net.3dcartstores.com/
It's $100 for one seat of $350 for 5 seats. Works well.

This is insane. Adobe - Say something! Anything!

Seriously, at the very least a detailed response would go a long way. Maybe this seems like a small issue but this is a very big deal.

Can someone from Adobe please comment to let us know when a fix will happen? This can't wait for a fix in a few weeks. This needs a fix ASAP!!! It's costing our agency money to buy OTF versions of fonts that we already own, so we can get projects done and delivered to our clients in time.

We are having the same issue in our shop across 3 different machines. Need a fix Adobe, we got clients who utilize specific fonts for their brand!

Post-script fonts are still broken in the new After Effects 15.1.1 (Build 12) update.
Adobe—You must do BETTER than this.

Yea, this issue needs to be resolved ASAP. Completely destroys the optimism of what seemed to be a solid update when something as basic as fonts go to sh!t.

Same here... The (postscript) branding font for my own company would not show up any more in Premiere.

Same issue here. So very frustrating. The two fonts I use most for my brand are both PostScript Type 1.
