Open captions have been extremely buggy in all of the most recent Premiere Pro updates for some time now. There NEEDS to be a fix to open captions not exporting consistently. In the past, I've had to nest my captions, pre-render in-to-out, and then export in Premiere, rather than Media Encoder, and it MAYBE works. This is unacceptable in the day and age when Facebook video is king, and captions are becoming a necessity for effective marketing. Premiere is making it consistently difficult to do my job efficiently and on-time.
Thank you for all the feedback. Please submit individual issues in the appropriate area – in this case: Closed Captions. Having a catch-all thread is not actionable for the team.
We will respond to individual requests as appropriate. Thank you

Come on Adobe, the caption feature in Adobe Premiere is a bug-filled joke. Subtitling and video captioning is a standard requirement now in many of my video projects this should be overhauled as a priority.

I am also having issues with captions not updating in real time, having to close project every-time I want to see an update. Very annoying!

Adjusting the font, size and background in the captions window - with Open captions import setting is not updating accordingly in the preview panel. Please can this be looked at. I need to use my standard corporate font when outputting captions in videos.

It would be nice if you guys could look into the open captions in Premiere. As others have said, it has been seriously broken for years. No need to make it ground breaking or anything, just make it work, thanks.

This is a very basic feature that I depend on in my daily workflow. On average I lose about 2 hours a week to bugs in the caption facility, and this means cost to me and my business. Sort it out Adobe. Please. Not professional at all.

When exporting captions (whether through media export or captions export) all styles (font size, color, postions, etc.) are lost. Why and how can I fix that?

Having issues with the captions panel.. I have to work around many issues by importing captions with overwritten settings.. . In the panel itself, I am unable to save changes to the time stamps, adjust font, or change font size... I have solved must of the problems through much trial and error, and strange ways of operating, but I am still unable to adjust the time my captions appear.. SOS. please help.

I can't vote. Can't bother to figure out why. But seriously.. please fix that the captions won't update the changes and Also it has problems exporting the entire caption into srt file.
Sometimes only exports a random snippet of it.

It is NOT acceptable that a software SO expensive handles subtitles *** badly. DaVinci Resolve handles them Super smoothly. I am seriously considering changing softwares for edition.
