  1. Some eyedroppers do not work properly when color management is enabled.

If you enable the check box in Preferences > General > Display color management, it will adjust the colors on the Source and Program monitors according to that monitor’s associated .icm file. However, this is only for viewing purposes on that specific monitor.
For an eyedropper to work properly, it must sample the color as it exists BEFORE color management is applied to it. But most of the eyedroppers inside of Premiere will only sample a color AFTER it has been adjusted by color management.
You can prove this by turning on color management, then trying to use a Color…

  2. Better project management

We often need to collect the project for transfering or archiving purposes. When collecting - all assets will be collected in one folder which is a bit messy....it would be great if files can be collected in 2 ways:
    - following the Premiere project bin structure
    Or
    - following the folder structure on hard drive
That would help us a lot in keeping the collected projects organized.

  3. Adobe Premiere Pro 22.3 new file creation sucks and should be removed!

The new update 22.3 has a new interface when you want to create a new file and it sucks! I prefer version 22.2 where it interfaces with Windows 11 as to where you want file located and named. I had to remove the 22.3 update and restore the 22.2 version. I would make the new file creation optional (Windows vs Adobe interface) for future updates.

  4. reveal in timeline

It'd be nice to have a feature just like the 'reveal in project' and 'reveal in finder' but 'reveal in timeline'. For example if you want to modify a clip but do not want to search it in your timeline.

  5. BUG: Mouse disappears at random

It's not just Lumetri or captioning that causes the mouse to disappear. It seems to happen to some people and not to others. I work at a place with 12 editors and half of them are having this issue where the mouse disappears for some reason. The mouse works fine, it's still there, under Premiere, working like a charm in Finder and every other application. ADOBE, PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

  6. A way to keep track of time spent on a project.

Anytime there’s movement in the project a clock is started. Maybe even categorized time. So you can see how much time was spent rendering, coloring, cutting. Maybe Other stats too like total footage in project. Maybe even how much footage you looked through so you could see if you missed anything.

  7. Is there any kind of significant overhaul planned for the next version of Premiere? Because it needs one

I've been posting about some significant bugs and wishlist items (most needed one IMO is an overhauled Warp Stabilizer, but another one is more stable handling of render files) in the past week. I just finished expressing my sentiments to a fellow frustrated user about how Adobe's Creative Cloud suite COULD be the best in the industry, if only they would figure out these problems and start advancing things more, better and faster. The potential is there, but I feel like it's not being pushed forward as much as it could and should be.

So can anybody from Adobe please…

    Hi Andrew,

your comments are as thoughtful as they are timely.
While I usually would have to close this item as it isn’t specific enough, I’m gonna leave it open so others can see this and add comments:

Please come back and vote for exactly the items that you feel need a V2, some polish, or just remove friction in areas that have grown over time. Add a new request if what you’d like to see revised isn’t discussed yet.

We’re already seeing good patterns on User Voice as to which items and areas would be good candidates for upcoming releases. You can see some of the top runners already marked as “Under Review”. And while that won’t tell you with which release exactly we’ll have things ready for you, it’s an indicator of an investment we’re making to improve features and workflows where most users express their needs.

    Cheers,…

  8. Continuously Rasterize Vector Graphics Option (AI, EPS, Ect)

Vector graphics are rasterized as they are imported. Scaling them larger than 100% results in a blurry graphic. After Effects offers a "Continuously Rasterize" option, and Premiere should offer the same. It could be an option under Interpret Footage.

  9. Optimize for high core count systems

You guys need to optimize your software to utilize more cpu cores.

It doesn’t make sense that a lower end cpu works better then a high end cpu.

If changes are not made.. I will cancel my membership and explore your competitor’s options.

  10. Ability to create Multiple Sequences from Multiple Clips

Just like After Effects, when you Create a new sequence from multiple clips, premiere should offer the option to either:
    A) Single sequence with all selected clips (current functionality)
    B) One sequence per clip (requested functionality)

  11. Background Rendering

I'd like to add the ability to continue working while sequences get rendered within Premiere Pro. Rendering would remain user initiated, and NEVER occur automatically. However, once a user initiates a render, we would be able to continue working. I imagine a new Render window along with the Project, Media Browser, Effects, Info, etc., where we could see the status of all initiated renders; pause, resume and cancel them; rearrange their order, etc.

  12. Bug: timecode is not accurate upon import

The way that Premiere reads timecode seems to have been broken in 13.0.0 and 13.0.1.

I have DNxHR LB clips in the MXF OP1a container that were created in DaVinci Resolve Studio 15.0.

When I import these clips into Premiere Pro 13.0.0 or 13.0.1, the timecode is being read wrong--arbitrarily about 1.5 minutes off.

The workaround I have is to go into the "Modify" menu and manually change the starting timecode of the clip back to the correct starting timecode.

This seems to be a bug that was introduced in 13.0.0 and still hasn't been fixed in 13.0.1.

    I have…

  13. Dual Screen Workspaces

The workspace panel has lots of default panel options baked in, but all of them are built for a single screen set-up. While I know you can rebuild the setups yourself... it would be nice if there was a feature that would let you switch between single screen and dual screen defaults in the workspace panel... that way I can just click and work, rather than having to build first.

  14. Allow modifying properties for a selection of clips

Currently, if I would like to scale, say three clips, I have to apply the scaling to each clip separately. One should be able to select multiple clips and modify properties on that selection. After Effects allows this, so why not Premiere Pro?

  15. BUG REPORT: In 12.1 Sequence markers are getting erased when a sequence is dragged into the Source Monitor the first time

When sequence markers are placed in a new sequence and that sequence is then dragged into the Source Monitor, all the sequence markers get deleted.

If markers are added again, and dragged into the source, then the markers stick. I've also tried dragging a sequence without any markers on it into Source, then adding markers and dragging again, and the markers remain.

This is a huge problem since we have several footage sequence that have already been marked up and we can't really use them in the Source monitor anymore unless we want to redo all the markers again.

  16. Premiere and Media Encoder creating D:\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\LUTs on launch

A number of users on the U2U forums are having issues with Premiere or MediaEncoder creating a folder tree on their D: drive as follows ...

    D:\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\LUTs

    or

    D:\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\LUTs\Technical

It first was noted by people with Onedrive or Dropbox, but now several others have popped in that do not have those sync apps and everytime Premiere or Me launch, the apps create the folder-tree and folders.

Delete the folders, launch Pr or Me, the folders are created again.

A bug of some kind perhaps.

  18. BUG REPORT: Markers disappear

Working in 12.1.1 I've had two instances of all my markers vanishing from timelines (different projects). One of them is a project I've been working on for 7 months and was a very long timeline with a tonne of information in the markers! Please investigate.

  19. Simplify/Improve Proxy Workflows

The number of hoops to jump through to get proxies up and running can be quite cumbersome and difficult to explain to newer users.

-Exit Premiere and open Media Encoder
-First create an encode preset for your file,
-Then create a separate "ingest preset" and nest that encode preset inside the ingest preset.
-Save that, but Premiere Pro is ignorant of this so you have to "Export" this preset to some place on your hard drive
-Open Premiere and then load your ingest preset.
(not sure why this can't just auto populate with all your media encoder ingest presets... also…

  20. Zoom to mouse on timeline (Alt + Scroll) Broken

In Windows 10, the Alt + Scroll functionality is broken. Depending on your display scale settings (100%, 150% etc) Premiere won't register the proper position of your mouse and will scroll to a completely different part of the timeline.

I'm using a 4K Monitor which is scaled to 150% so that text isn't super tiny. Premiere doesn't like this. It will only work properly if your scale settings are set to 100% and you restart your system. If your system boots with a default setting of anything other than 100%, it breaks. It just seems like it's not taking into…
