Gradients for Strokes and Shadows
Request for Essential Graphics Text Tool
It is wonderful to be able to gradation the color of letters!
Thank you very much! !! Very glad! !! All Japanese users are happy! As a request for further creative creation ...
・ We want a gradation function for the border.
・ We also want a gradation function for shadows.
-Multiple boundaries can be used. We want you to be able to use multiple shadows as well.Especially in the Japanese video industry, multiple boundaries and their gradations are really used a lot. Hopefully at this time, we hope for further evolution!

Enhancement of essential graphics text tools
We want to be able to add gradients, scene features, and apply multiple shadows to text (as with legacy titles).
It is inevitable that legacy titles will disappear someday.
However, we want at least the features equivalent to legacy titles to be included in Essential Graphics.
For that purpose, I want to be able to add a gradient scene function and apply multiple shadows.
The Essential Graphics text tool has evolved significantly with the April 2019 update. Especially in Japan, joy was raised. Later, if you evolve a little more, it will create great value in the Japanese video production…252 votesCompleted ·AdminAnnika Koenig (Premiere Pro, Motion Graphics) (Software Quality Engineer, Adobe DVA) responded

ADD UNDERLINE OPTION TO ESSENTIAL GRAPHICS
Underlining text is one of the most basic tools and clients request this ALL THE TIME (I do video editing for research reports) – how is this still not an option????????
78 votesUnderline is now available as a Faux Style for Text Layers in Premiere Pro CC 2020 (14.0). You can find it right next to the other Faux Styles in the Essential Graphics Panel.

font for MOGRT
Please allow us to change font for the MOGRT That come from AE
37 votesCompleted ·AdminPatrick Palmer (Director of Product Management, Pro Video and Motion Design, Adobe DVA) responded
This feature is now officially available.
You can author a new segment in any MOGRT that can allow for changing font characteristics. Note that this requires exisitng MOGRTs to be updated with this functionality if it’s desired, and that it can be turned off in AE if you’d like to make sure the user of a MOGRT in Premiere Pro stays on brand.
Here’s an overview of what’s new with the latest version of Premiere Pro:

Make Render & Replace (with alpha) work for common SoMe frame sizes
The Render & Replace feature in Premiere Pro is great, especially for complex MOGRTs that will not play smoothly. It's much better than rendering the sequence, since we can still move the clip around without re-rendering. It's fantastic!
But the only option for MOGRTs that are not full screen (and most are not) and need an Alpha channel is GoPro Cineform. That's a very good codec, but it has some limitations that makes it unsuitable for non-broadcast frame sizes: The frame width must be evenly divisible by 16 and the frame height by 8. Adobe knows this: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/gopro-cineform-codec.html#TipstoworkwiththeGoProCineFormcodecbr
This means…

Import multiple .mogrts, add a group of .mogrts to a library instead of one by one
Can only import one .mogrt at a time. I just bought a pack from Motion Array with 17 type templates, and had to import one at a time
Once they were all imported into my overly cluttered EG panel (without the folders or list view it used to have), I tried grouping all the added templates and doing right click > add to library. Didn't work! Can only do one at a time.

adaptive caption background
Please reinstate adaptive caption background length. The change to a static background length, determined by the longest line, has suddenly made any videos we produce with Premiere Pro inconsistent with all of our previous work. Like, overnight Adobe has forced our brand look to change. Please revert or give the user a choice.
16 votesCompleted ·AdminAnnika Koenig (Premiere Pro, Motion Graphics) (Software Quality Engineer, Adobe DVA) responded
We have added the option for users to choose how a background for captions and graphics is supposed to behave. You can either have one background box for a multi-lined caption/graphic which is defined by the widest line or you can have each line have a different width. In the Essential Graphics panel go to the panel menu (looks like three horizontal lines) and click on Text Layer Preferences. In the opened dialog choose your setting for “Background Styles”. This will now be your default. If you want to make a change to an individual caption/graphic and override your default once, you can change the background behavior in the Wrench Menu under Appearance in the Essential Graphics panel.

Ability to align text within a text box (not just aligning the box itself)
Currently in EG text boxes can be aligned within the sequence area. I have run into time where I am trying to center text within the top half or bottom half of the screen. Since there are no guides in Premiere, the easiest thing would be to make the text box the size of the area you want to center the text, and center the text within that box. Or align to the bottom, or whatever is needed. Adding the ability to create guides would solve this issue, but one should also have basic text control within the text box…

Available in any public release after 14.2 -

14.0.1 - problem MOGRT - importMGTFromLibrary(), text doesn't refresh
Since version 14.0.1 of Premiere Pro I have a problem with MOGRT (Essential Graphics).
I use a script to import the MOGRT: function importMGTFromLibrary () and modify the content of the parameters.
Since the last version, the script still works, it imports and changes the parameters (texts, colors), but the Premiere Pro preview brings up the default parameters of the MOGRT.
The only way to bring up the right parameters is to go to the Edit tab of the Essential Graphics window and touch up the parameters.Opening old files created with this script poses the same problem ....

AE created mogrt files on different Premiere Pro languages
mogrt files created in the german version of AE, have default parameter names in different language of PP.
For example: a slider created in AE [german] with the custom name "Distance", appears in PP [english] with the name "Schieberegler" (german for Slider).
So the whole template is more or less useless for the user.
But my client has editors all over the world that have to use this template.7 votes -
Add a function that enables to change style (font, colour, etc) of multiple titles in just one place
...instead of getting into each title and change it's properties, and then move to the other title and change it's properties, and then move to the other title...
Thanks!

All Caps and Small Caps to Titler
The legacy titler allowed all caps and small caps. Please put this feature in the new version of the titler. Also, can you add the alignment features to Effects Control as opposed to forcing us to go to Essential Graphics every time we want to center text?
6 votesFaux Styles, including All Caps and Small Caps, were added to Pr 12.0.1 and are available in the latest release as well (Pr 12.1).
Alignment controls are not animatable things and they don’t have adjustable params (like effects) so they probably don’t belong in the ECP. But they can be accessed from the EGP, the Graphics menu or by using a keyboard shortcut assign by user. To assign a KBS, open the KBS dialog and find Application > Graphics > Align

Allow multiple Mogrt files to be installed at once not just individually inside Premiere
Allow multiple Mogrt files to be installed at once not individually inside Premiere. Currently copying a mogrt folder with multiple files to the 'Essential Graphics' folder does not work. It's a tedious job to install 400 mogrt files individually in the Essential Graphics tab in Premiere.

mogrt presets
MOGRT - Save Parameter as presets
we create MOGRT for adobe stock, and we include a lot of parameter for user to create his own style of lower third or titles.... the problem was each time user need same style they need to repeat all the steps to get same style agin, so my idea is to include a presets tab can save all the used parameter and user can be able to select the presets they want. e.g. we create a lower third with ability to change size, intro/outro style, add/remove section, and so.. which allow user to create…
3 votesThe addition of the Dropdown Menu Expression control allows for Mogrt creators to make their own presets.

Support for Subscript & Superscript in Essential Graphics
Adding a Copyright or TM symbol in a .mogrt file results in the character being the same size as the rest of the text when it should be smaller and superscript.
The lack of this feature is prohibitive for commercial work that includes trademark or copyrighted titles/graphics.

Character/type controls in Premiere.
Please add more character/type controls to Premiere like we have in all other Adobe apps. Like Bold, Underline and Italic.
