Blackmagic Playback of Unsupported Frame Sizes is 2K and not 1080p
Blackmagic Playback of Unsupported Frame Sizes is 2K and not 1080p
Previously when in a 3840x2160 23.976 timeline I would set "Unsupported frame sizes: Scale Down". I'm intentionally using an HD only output card from Blackmagic (UltraStudio HD Mini) and not a 4K card so the 4K timeline will be an "Unsupported frame size" I'm using a Flanders DM240 external monitor. Using this method the output signal used to be 1080p and all was well. Now that signal is 2K which makes the image on the monitor appear slightly wider as the image is being squeezed from top to bottom.…

Unable to drop comp from after effects into Premiere...
Import works as expected but importing comps one at a time isn't conducive to my workflow. I used to be able to drag all my comps from AE to PR, but this no longer seems to be working. Have tested on two machines both with the latest versions of AE and PR. Please fix.

Mercury transmit: Support for multiple audio outputs
Mercury Transmit is great in that you can route video to multiple outputs at the same time.
However, this same capability does not exist for audio outputs.
The lack of multiple audio routing precludes the use of software based streaming encoders like Streambox Spectra to send out audio playback synced to its accompanying video, without completely disabling local audio playback/monitoring.
When I beta tested the Spectra plug-in with Premiere, I thought it was perfect for streaming editing sessions, but the lack of simultaneous audio routing ultimately rendered the plugin almost useless for anything other than MOS footage review or color-correction…

bug report
Since version 14.9 projects will not open with my 2nd monitor plugged in. The clock and mac's spinning pinwheel will spin forever until I force quit Premiere. I always have to unplug my 2nd monitor's HDMI cable in order to open a project. When it is open, I can switch mercury transmit off and on again and the 2nd monitor works fine. So I found my workaround, but it is pain.
1 voteFrustrating!
Some diagnostic questions:
Mac or Windows?
Do you have any 3rd party Transmit plug-ins installed?
You mention 14.9; do you experience the same behavior, in 15.1?

Option to ignore file name suffix/prefix when relinking offline media
When a project sequence gets round tripped from Premiere Pro to DaVince Resolve and back again (for mastering and final delivery), the graded files will usually be exported from Resolve with a suffix added to the file name. Same goes for in-camera generated proxies, they also often have additional characters added to the file name.
Premiere can then no longer automatically relink those files, because the file name doesn't match exactly. Relinking those files one by one is a pain. If not to say not feasible at all for longer projects.
So in the relink media dialogue, it would be…

Add Enable Transmit to Button Editor
Add a button to the Program Monitor Button Editor to toggle "Enable Transmit". It is annoying to have to go to the wrench icon and find it.
Also, many new users have no idea what "Enable Transmit" does because it is poorly named.1 vote -
show multicam source window only over transmit
When I edit multicam it would be nice to have source window over transmit with all the camera angles. There is option for that now, but works on both, source and program window. If I want to see all the angles over transmit it works for the source window and i switch to program Window there are also all camera angles and program window as well. And i need to go and turn off option so i can have full screen program window over transmit. It would be nice to have option to show multicam angles only from Source window…

Pull up and Pull down for Transmit
Playback options should include the option to pull up (from fractional to non-fractional frame rates) or pull down (from non-fractional to fractional frame rates) for display in transmit.
1 voteThe frame rate of a given sequence or piece of media is determined in sequence settings, or footage interpretation.
Why would it be desirable to have only the transmit display, use incorrect frame rates?

Smooth Playback, Fast Forward, Transmit
Fast forward in the timeline currently takes place in halting, pulsing gasps. Double time or 4 x should be as smooth as 1 x playback.
This may be related to fractional frame rates (23.98) in the timeline and non-fractional frame rates in display (60Hz).

Improving performance/latency of Mercury Playback Transmit
Dear Adobe,
I run a post-facility of six Premiere Pro edit suites, all iMac based, connecting once to a secondary working display and once again using TB2/TB3 Ultrastudio Mini Monitors to connect to a reference display.
I can see and feel a clear difference in playback latency when turning on or off the transmit playback monitoring to the reference display. With transmit enabled the latency when pressing play is measurably higher than if it is turned off. This is slowing down our work enough for me to just want to disable the reference monitor altogether.
We are running the latest…

Bug when disabling playback Mercury Transmit
I'm running Premiere 14.3.2 on a MacPro (Mac OS Mojave, 10.14.6) with a dual monitor setup. When I try to disable(turn off) my second display as a playback for Premiere (by unchecking Mercury Transmit in the Playback preferences tab), the last image displayed on the monitor freezes and the only way to get out of it is if I quit the application and turn it back on. Help, please!

Bug report: Premiere Pro 2020 won't detect last version of After Effects for Dinamic Link
I just updated all the programs through Creative Cloud into versión 2020. But Premiere Pro won't identify the installed version of After Effects as the 2020. The first 3 attempts I try to replace a clip for a comp in After Effects it did as intended but I couldn't do anything more, it was freezed. For the next attemps I reinstall both programs and now it shows me the message in the attached image "Adobe After Effects 2020 debe estar instalado para importar este archivo". I am curretly going back to the previous versions to try it.

Mercury Transmit is always inconsistent
Mercury Transmit seems to work when it wants to. Sometimes I open my project (with the same config all the time) and Mercury works as expected however the majority of the time it simply does not work at all. Driving me crazy.

Bug Report - PP 2020 with BMD playing Arri Alexa Pro Red
Found the issue but cant fix it. The issue is with how Premiere handles Arri Alexa Pro Res files. I dont have the issue with other media or once it has been rendered to ProRes HQ.
I have just confirmed that Adobe Premiere 2020 14.0.1 Does NOT work with Black Magic Designs products when working from Arri Alexa Pro Res Files. I tried other BMD devices and am getting the same results. Transmit to BMD devices creates flashes of green and playback that jumps forward and backwards rapidly. Repeatable.
Premiere 2019 does work without issue. Something was broken in the…3 votes -
Mercury Transmit playback stopped working after Premiere 2020 update
After update, playback of video (without external hardware) to a desktop display quit working. Playback via BMD hardware and SDI is fine. Just not directly to an external display. It was fine prior to the update and is still fine if I use FCPX.

project manager bug - premiere 2020
In adobe premiere 2020, when I want to export project via project manager, from the source file which I have made several cuts (in & out) in the source monitor panel and drag it in bin, adobe premiere 2020 makes copy of source file as many as cuts I had made. For example, if I had cut a 1gb film into 3 parts it copies the file 3 times and the exported file size turns into 3gb. However in adobe premiere 2018, it only copies source file once and does not make several copy of it.

Transmit Out Bug after minimizing Premiere
When I have Transmit Out enabled, and switch to another app, frequently in a fairly short period of time the image from the transmit out monitor comes back, but BALLOONED OUT immensely so it takes over most of my three screens.
When this happens, sometimes I can grave-key out of it, sometimes hitting Escape or Enter gets out of it, but sometimes the only thing to do is to Ctrl-Alt-Delete to bring up Task Manager and kill Premiere.

BUG - jpegs freeze output to broadcast monitor
Mac OSX 10.14.1
Premiere Pro CC2018 and CC2019
IO cards - Both AJA and BMOn mulitple projects when jpegs are in the sequence, playback freezes on the broadcast monitor while the jpeg is being played. It resumes once the sequence is beyond the jpeg.
In the UI playback is normal - no freeze.
The work around is to replace the jpeg still with tiff copies.

Allow Overlays to read from any track, AND add a "Read From Top Down" Overlay option -- currently limited to V1-V8, A1-A8, or All Tracks
This seems like a really arbitrary limitation -- what if I need to see overlays for stuff on V9 or A9 or above?! Currently I'm working on a sequence with 15 video tracks and 20 audio tracks, and that's tame for a workflow that often involves layers for storyboards, footage, graphics, adjustment layers, vfx, color, etc.
Should be able to read overlays from any existing track or all of them
Add a "Read From the Top Down" overlay option, that could function exactly like the "Selection Follows Playhead" feature when all the video selectors are turned on -- i.e. the…
