New Import Menu Should Have Project Panel Visible
The new import menu should have the project panel visible on the bottom right.
Most times you want to import items into already created bins/projects and there's no way to do that currently.
Would be a super handy feature to make the new import mode more powerful.

LTC Conversion in PremierePro - URGENDLY needed
This has been requested repeatedly, trying to convey the urgency a bit clearer:
With todays increasing mix of different device classes in production for all kinds of media, the lack of this feature has reached a breaking point.
The time and work required to synch up footage manually and/or use a work-around with Resolve/outsidePremierePro pushes you to use other NLEs to work efficiently and cost effective. Converting LTC inside premiere pro should be a given, footage ingest is at beginning, at the base of all projects!
And I do say this as someone who really likes premiere Pro.

'Open Project' Window and 'Import Window' freeze on latest version of Premiere Pro running on Windows 11.
This only happens on the latest Premiere Pro version. Whenever an explorer window is opened through Premiere, either while locating and opening a project or while using the import function, the window freezes and nothing happens. The only solution seems - open a project file directly by double clicking the project file and use media browser for importing. Because any instance of using the explorer window through premiere, causes Premiere to crash.

Premiere DESPERETLY needs to have folder structure settings when dragging folders over
The 22.5 update really screwed the pooch for me but the problem is bigger, this is really an under maintained long running issue.
We need to be able to control how premiere behave when we drag folders that contain subfolders into the project.
up until 22.0, when dragging a folder, premiere would eliminate the subfolders and place all the files in the main folder, that was great for me but a problem for others, now with the summer update you switched things up and made premiere retain some of the folder structure, creating a mess in the project outline for…

Bug importing folders by dragging them into Premiere
Using PP 22.5.0 when dragging a folder into a bin only some of the media inside will be imported. Also sub folders will only sometimes come in as bins, but other times the media will just be lumped into the parent folder. Previously the folder structure would remain as the bin structure. Media that does not import when dragging the folder into PP can be imported when dragged in individual files so it's not a media format problem.

Audio conforming bug
When i open or create a new project, while there is a project already opened, the newly imported audio files doesn't have waveform and the conforming doesn't start. I have to restart premiere, and re-open the project every time to make it work.

We need more control when importing XML
When importing an XML, there should be a dialogue box that allows for a bit more control. The most important would be to chose if you want to import the media linked to the XML, or if Premiere should look into the project panel, or even in a specific bin. XMLs are often used for round trips to other programs, and in that case, all the media is already present, and importing the XML imports it again.

Auto recover superwhites
Automatically bring superwhite levels to 100% on import.
Eg. S-Cinetone on A7siii records up to 109%, and you need to manually bring white levels down on each clip to match what was seen in camera.2 votes -
premiere doesn't open project window
When I create a new project, and insert media on the timeline, it doesn't open the project window automatically, so I have to go to windows>project every time.

Premiere Pro 22.5 relink media broken
When I open many previously created projects in 22.5, I'm asked to relink missing media upon launch. When I point Premiere to the correct area, though, it finds the file but gives me a generic import error, and I can't relink any media. Even trying to manually import that footage as a new import gives me the same error.
But downgrading the app to 22.3.1 fixes the issue, and the app "finds" the media with no issues upon launch.

Image sequence import that skips missing frame numbers
When importing an image sequence, occasionally we have to delete a bad frame. That interrupts frame numbering, and when Premier gets to the skipped number, it stops importing. There needs to be an option for Premier to skip the missing frame and continue importing the remainder of the selected files.

Sequential Image Import WITHOUT leading zeroes
When importing an image sequence, it is very difficult to get Windows to rename files with leading zeroes if the application creating the files didn't include them. When imported without leading zeroes, you get a sequence that goes 1, 11, 111, 1111, 2, 22... which totally doesn't work.. It takes much time to add leading zeroes and then divide the files into bins that all have the same number of digits. Why can't Premier have a switch to sequence files without leading zeroes the right way?

Add Proxy Watermark doesn't work
I have the checkbox selected prior to importing, and I have Premiere set to ingest footage and create proxies upon Ingest. Yet, I get no Proxy watermark. See screenshot for proof.

Importing folders with one file doesn't create bin
I have all of my source footage and audio sorted into about 12 folders. Some of the folders have multiple files, others have just one.
If I import all of these folders into Premiere, any folders that have more than one file get a BIN created automatically. Any folders with just one file don't get a BIN.
I don't see the point or benefit of not creating a bin for folders with just one file. If I'm importing folders, I think it's safe to assume I want to use that structure. I plan to add files to these bins later…

Custom Proxy Ingest preset missing after update
About a month ago I created a custom Import Ingest preset in Media Encoder and uploaded it to Premiere using the 'Add Ingest Preset' button on the Project Settings window (the window that appears when you click the spanner next to the 'Ingest' check box in the Media Browser).
Yesterday, I updated Premiere because Lumetri Scopes were bugging out for me and not updating.
Today I've just realised my Ingest preset is gone.

Audio not fully imported.
Since the latest update (PP 22.5) the import of audio from a camera fails.
I'm using mediabay and ingest to import files from my camera-card. This way I get one smooth video- and audiofile from the seperate MTS-files from the camera. After import the video has no problem but the audio is just taken from the first MTS-file and the rest of the file has no sound at all.
Fortunately I still have my old computer with PP version 22.4 and there doesn't this problem exist. So, I can import from the camera on that computer and edit it later…1 voteNeeds More Info ·AdminFergus Hammond (Product Manager, Video & Audio Cloud Workflows, Adobe DVA) responded
Hello Igor,
Would it be possible for you to send us some sample files to test with? What would be ideal is a copy of the memory card from your camera. Also I'm not familiar with what you mean by "mediabay"; can you explain?
Thanks!

Allow direct import of Pixel MP4 video files to Premiere Pro
This is very important to me. Or at least provide detailed instructions on how to import MP4 files from Android phones!

Option for "Import Layered File"
Add a default setting or a check box in the Import Layered File interface so when importing multiple layered files, one wouldn't have to select "ok" for every single file. Checking the box would only work for a group of files imported at the same time.

AAF-imported ProRes .MOV files don't work, but AAF-imported ProRes .MXF files do?
I'm starting a new thread for an issue that originally started here:
The original post (the title of which I can no longer edit, hence my opening this new thread) outlined an issue that I thought was a general Apple Silicon AAF import problem. But as I dig deeper with troubleshooting the issue, I figured out that the actual problem is that only ProRes .MOV files don't work when imported into Premiere via AAF on Apple Silicon machines. ProRes MXF files, however, import fine via AAF.
Again, this is a showstopping bug. We simply can't use Premiere on our…
