Needs option to select a specific GPU, so premiere pro can use that on priority.
Needs option to select a specific GPU, so premiere pro can use that on priority.
So in this way Premiere Pro can use a GPU that users feel will work best. It will not just optimised how premiere pro works but also it will boost the playback and render time. Rather than shifting on different GPU's let user select the best GPU he thinks he has. Or at least give option for selecting Multiple GPU ? So in that way be can give priority on which GPU to use first and second so they can be simultaneously be used.3 votes -
IMPROVE COMPATIBILITY WITH M1 MACS. PLAYBACK & EXPORT GLITCH
Major glitching issues in playback and exporting on Apple Silicon computers. I have an M1 24" iMac, and I've seen people with this same issue on other Silicon models. It seems to have to do with the SoC architecture of the M1 chips. Premiere is not able to fully recognize the GPU in the computer, and so it doesn't know how to properly handle the footage. This is a serious issue that creates unusable videos, and will cause many to move to FCP or Davinci if not solved. Thank you!

Premiere Pro freezes when using GPU Accelerated renderer
Premiere Pro occasionally freezes when exporting a sequence using the GPU Accelerated renderer, on Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (9th gen). It never recovers (need to terminate the process). This has been going on since approximately version 21. How can we troubleshoot this?

GPU Management
For users who have high end towers with multiple GPUs, it is not uncommon to run our main monitors off lower end GPUs, and drive other display devices with a high end GPU; it would be very helpful if we could select which GPU in the system to render with across all adobe apps.

FIX NVIDIA COMPATABILITY
Based on several posts both within the Adobe forum and in external forums, there has been an known and continuing compatibility issues between Adobe and NVIDIA GPUs for SEVERAL years. This issue causes Premiere's program monitor to randomly go black and stop showing any video; the timeline will still play, and audio will also play, but no video appears. The only recourse is to shut down Premiere and open it up again, but the problem often happens again within minutes. This is NOT unique to work station builds or projects - it has been reported across a wide swath of…

NVLink causing GPU crashes with Premiere Pro
Hey,
I installed an NVLink connector for my 2x 3090s to use in my 3D workloads. I noticed a very consistent GPU crash "only" when using Premiere Pro with the attached setting turned on.
I now have to disable it each time I'm using Premiere Pro, which is very unintuitive imo since I use it for other work.
The crash makes my GPU fans stop spinning, and basically shut off my screens for several minutes.... then kicks me back to where I left off with a black preview window in my Premiere Pro.
I'm not asking for Premiere Pro to…

BUG: Input LUT Broken on GPU Render
The input LUT function (interpret footage->color management->input lut dropdown) Doesn't do anything if you have GPU rendering enabled. If you switch to mercury software playback the LUT loads but it is not loading if you use mercury playback GPU.
Steps for bug:
- Input log or really any footage
- Set input lut
- Footage remains unchanged. ..Tested an XAVC and an h.264 file with no luck. ..
- Switch to CPU render and the input lut works!
It's a bug....

GPU hardware acceleration fix of black source & program viewer.
For years, there's the issue, of black source and program-monitor, when using CUDA. Mostly with added effecs like lumetri-color or when using a browser at the same time. A second and third screen which is connected to the USB-C output of the nvidia card, could be an issue as well. There is no fix. Updating drivers and Premiere versions won't solve the problem. For years! So please make this a priority. Higher data-rates demand stronger hardware, but it's useless, if the software cannot handle it.

Improve GPU Support.
GPU acceleration randomly disappears since updating to Premiere Pro 15 (now on 15.4.1) from 14.9. When switching to another Premiere Project GPU Acceleration sometimes is not available anymore and grayed out. Restart of Premiere makes no effect. Only restarting of the PC helps but cannot be the solution. With 14.9. everything was ok - never had a problem. NVidia Driver is updated. Adobe Suite completely uninstalled an reinstalled.
Unsing Windows 10 with the latest Update. Nvidia 1080Ti

black screen preview, from overflown RAM
so, I know many many many users have the same issue in different variations with different GPU's.
I have computers with 2080 Ti and RTX 3090. two very capable GPU's. However they both suffer from premiere totally overloading the RAM when working with 8K footage or 4K footage with effects. once the RAM is overflown, the preview image goes black and only a computer reset is fixing it.
this issue has gone on for YEARS. it simply must be possible to fix this behavior once and for all?2 votes
