  1. Move Captions to the bottom of the screen

It would be useful to be able to move the captions all the way to the bottom of the screen.

  2. Multiple caption tracks visible for accessibility

In the previous version of Premiere Pro, I was able to add multiple captions and make them visible in order to have English/Spanish on screen. But in the latest version (Version 15.0.0) only one track of captioning is available.

This makes it hard for those of us who are working on making our videos accessible to multiple audiences. Please bring back the ability to have multiple tracks of captioning visible at the same time.

  3. PP15.0 New Captions - Need Caption track opacity options

My captions are almost always burned in. I need the ability to fade out captions. Right now, I can't do that with a video transition effect or opacity keyframes. This oversight is a huge step backwards for creating attractive burned-in captions. AND, I have no way to revert to the previous captioning where I can create those effects in a number of ways.

  5. Captions are displaying twice, and the second one can't be turned off

I'm on the new version of Premiere, and I have a 608 track that can be enabled and edited as designed. However, rendering OVER that in the Program Monitor are the same titles again in the style of 608 captions of Premiere 14.x. There seems to be no way to toggle these titles off, and they do not respond to editing the caption text. However, if I edit the text, save the project, close it and reopen it, the old style 608 titles will reflect whatever changes I had made before reopening the project.

If it helps, I notice the…

  6. The new captions panel for Hebrew is not yet there.

When you published the Beta version, the Hebrew captions problem was solved (it was perfect). but then, when you published the 2021 update (v15) the Hebrew captions in the panel were fine, but what you see on the program panel is reversed! please make it better again and fix this problem in the next update...

  7. In Transcript: Export to text file - must include Timecode info!

In Transcript: Export to text file.. To make this useful it needs to take clip name (all takes on timeline) and timecode info across so my (old school) documentary director can make a paper edit from interviews etc. Then provide me with time codes to build the assembly. (often barked down the phone!)

If I was self-directing and doing a project entirely within Premier. fine, I wouldn't need to export anything.
But filmmaking is a collaboration and the director doesn't want to touch the edit program but happy to look at text in Word or similar.

    If the exported text…

  8. Would be very handy if "Split Segment" would just split your caption at cursor position instead of creating two duplicates.

    1. User places the text cursor at the desired split point of a long caption segment.

    2. User presses Split Segment button.

    3. Premiere splits the segment into two segments, with the break point being where the cursor was positioned at the time they clicked the split segment button.

    Thanks!

  9. Captions

Some tweaks to new captions workflow:

Auto move end point of captions to just before next caption (fill the gaps).

Being able to add transitions.. or being able convert captions into text assets so transitions can be added

  10. Export Subtitles for Corrections

Export speech to text transcripts and subtitles so Print Publishers can edit the correct spelling, names and so on when Adobe Speech to Text doesn't translate correctly. Then allow the editor to re import the corrected transcript and create corrected sub titles and captions from corrected transcripts.

  11. REMOVE CENSORSHIP on Premiere Pro NEW TRANSCRIPT feature

Your new text transcript feature censors certain words.
It is not the job of Adobe to censor anything.
That is an editor's decision not yours.
Please remove these restrictions as soon as possible.

  12. Remember the last caption the user was editing after deselecting the Text panel, to allow for easier movement between Timeline and Text

At the moment when selecting a different panel in Premiere Pro, the Text panel resets / scrolls back up to the very first caption. It would be great to have an option where Premiere freezes the panel at the last caption the user is working on as this is frustrating when jumping between the Timeline and Text panels.

  13. Editing caption timecodes missing from v.15

I noticed that the ability to edit a captions timecode in the Text pane is now missing. I used that quite a bit before the update to v.15 and I really miss this feature. Please add it back in as it's really useful for having precise captions. Thanks!

  14. Closed captions in Premiere 15 getting a duplicate layer track after reopening.

I would like to report a bug I just discovered in the new Premiere Pro 15.

I switched to PP version 15 to take advantage of better closed captions control in the editor. The workflow was fine and worked great until I closed the project and reopened it. Now I have two closed captions boxes overlapping each other. The box underneath is the one I created. The one on top and slightly offset is the "ghost" caption. It looks like it came from the old caption platform style. I have recreated it by starting a new blank project, importing a…

  15. Captions to Essential Graphics titles conversion

Open captions are becoming increasingly popular in online video and social media, with a lot of different styles employed to make videos stand out.

For example, different colours or fonts per user, per-title animations, transitions between the titles, and unusual positions based on who is speaking.

This is not currently possible with the captioning tool, which restricts your ability to edit titles within the capabilities of the caption format you are working in.

Instead, users have to rely on third-party tools to convert a caption file to graphics or titles; or have to manually create Essential Graphics titles for each…

  16. Need ability to export transcripts, and subtitles

Ability to export transcripts and subtitles to a document. Then a content editor can fix names, spellings and punctuation that Adobe speech to text misses.

  18. Add the ability to delete multiple captions back in!

I like the new updates to the captioning tool in the v.15 update, but not being able to select and delete multiple caption blocks is really bad! When I have a big video I'm cutting down this is essential. I know I can edit the SRT file outside of Premiere Pro but this takes a lot longer. Please add this back in!

  19. Improvement on caption editor

Right now it's a little clunky and difficult to editor captions/transcripts.

First, if I try to edit the transcript, the field box is constrained and doesn't allow me to expand the dimensions of the box. So if I want to make a change to the text, I need to click inside the box and press the down arrow button several times to get to where I want to be (and to be able to see it).

The other issue is that I can't change transcripts/captions on the fly. I have to make several clicks to stop the video, go in…
